Now that Kristoff no longer needs to watch Donald’s back, it’s time for him to spruce himself up a bit. You can lend a helping hand, so Kristoff feels more refreshed. All the villagers will also appreciate your efforts to make Kristoff a little cleaner.
How To Unlock The ‘Leaving The Woods Behind’ Quest
You’ll need to meet the following requirements to unlock the quest.
Once you have all of this done, you’ll need to find Kristoff to start the quest.
Kristoff will have a quest marker over his head with either a blue or purple color whenever he has a quest for you. He roams the valley butcan be found in theForest of Valor or the Plaza most often.
An icon showing his face will appear on the map. Clicking on his picture will put a colorful aura around his icon, and once you exit the map, you’ll have amagical sparkly trailthat will lead you right to him, no matter where he is in the valley.
Tip: You won’t be able to access the map tab in the menu if you are inside a building.
What You’ll Need For The ‘Leaving The Woods Behind’ Quest
Kristoff will tell you to get the following things, buthe’ll give you specific instructionsthat will tell you exactly how to get everything except for common ingredients.
Thecommon ingredients, such as carrots and coconuts,can be grown, purchased at Goofy’s stalls, or harvested.
How And Where To Collect Burned Logs
Your first step in this quest is togo back to the woods. Kristoff tells you the location of acampfirehe set upnear the main entrance to Frosted Heights.
You don’t need to have Frosted Heights unlocked for this. Thecampfire is still in the Forest of Valor.
You can interact with the campfire toacquire the burned logs Kristoff needs.
How To Turn Burned Logs Into Ashes And Extract Lye
Kristoff tells you the next step is togrind the burned logs into ashes. You’ll do this at a crafting station. When you interact with a crafting station, the recipe for ashes should be on the first tab labeled as ‘Refined Material.’
You’lltalk to Kristoffonce you’ve procured the ashes, and he’ll tell you the next step: extracting lye.
How To Extract Lye
Lyeis an ingredient in some soaps, and you’ll need tofind a cooking station to boil the ashesyou crafted. Any cooking station will work, including the one in Chez Remy.
you may interact with stoves in any character’s home, so feel free touse whatever stove is nearbywhen you get to this step.
Bring the lye to Kristoffto unlock the next step in the quest.
Talk To Maui For Soap-Making Advice
Kristoff likes to use carrot oil in his soap, but during your chat, you both decided it might be nice to add another ingredient. When youtalk to Maui, he will tell you his haircare secret iscoconut oil. You will need the following amounts of each ingredient:

If you plan to grow the carrots you need, don’t forget to take a gardening character with you. You will get some extra carrots in the harvesting process to help you get 20 a little faster.
Once you have all the ingredients,show them to Kristoff.
Crafting The Carrot Soap
It’s finally time to make the carrot soap.Interact with a crafting tableto create it. The crafting recipe for the soap will show up under the ‘Functional Items’ tab, and you only need to craft one soap.
Once you’ve crafted the soap,give it to Kristoff. Now Kristoff and the other residents of the valley can breathe a little easier, thanks to you.
