Each time you unlock a new character inDisney Dreamlight Valley, they come with their own quest line. Several of their quests often involve helping them settle back into the Valley and regain their memories. A lot of them haven’t been to the Valley in some time, so it can be a bit overwhelming.

It’s no different forVanellope, the energetic sugar kart racerfrom Wreck-It-Ralph. She comes from a fast-paced world of racing and challenges, so the slower-paced vibe of the Valley isn’t what she’s used to. In this guide, we’ll show you how to complete her quest, Ready Player Fun, and help her see some of what Valley has to offer.
How To Start The Ready Player Fun Quest
To unlock Ready Player Fun, you’ll need to befriendship level fourwith Vanellope, and you’ll need to haveprogressed in Scar’s questsenough to unlock the Vitalys Mines. You’ll also need tohave both Nalaand Mirabel unlocked, but you don’t need to have done any of their quests.
Once you’ve met the requirements,meet Vanellope in her houseand speak to her.
She’ll say she finds the Valley weird and wants some helpfiguring out some non-racing-related activities to do. You’ll agree to help her, and the quest begins.
Showing Vanellope Some Valley Activities
Your first quest step is pretty open-ended. You’ll need tomine any three gems, catch any five fish, plant any 30 crops, and harvest any 30 crops or fruits.
you’re able to do these tasks in any biomes you want, and because Vanellope is counted as hanging out with you, you’ll alsogain friendship progress with heras you do them.
Once you’ve completed the quest steps,speak to Vanellope again.
Playing Hide And Seek With Vanellope
Vanellope isn’t too impressed by the activities and suggests trying something else: she hides somewhere, and we have to find her. She’ll give you a hint before she leaves, saying she’ll hide in one thedarkest, most dangerous spotsin the Valley.
Ask her about a special rule, and she says togo to Scrooge’s storeto wait while she hides. Make your wayto Scrooge’s store,go inside for a moment, and then your quest will update.
If you’ve guessed her hiding spot already, you can go straight there, but if you need it, you also have the option toask three villagers for a hintabout her hiding spot:Nala, Mirabel, and Mickey Mouse. They’ll help cross out some potential spots, and Nala will specify the place as being dusty.
Once you’ve figured it out, go tothe Vitalys Mines in Sunlight Plateau, and go inside. There will be atrail of candyon the ground off towards the left of the entrance. Follow it, and you’ll find Vanellope.
You’ll want to eat some extra food and ensure you’rewell fed for a speed boostprior to the next part.
Speak to Vanellope, and she’ll suggest a second part to the challenge:racing her out of the mine. Regardless of whether you win or not, meet Vanellope outside the mines and speak to her again.
Speed-Fishing With Vanellope
After the race, Vanellope will want to do something fast again and suggests a fishing challenge she calls Extreme Fishing.
Her rules are specific:the game starts as soon as you leave the mine, and you have three minutes to catch three fish.
Go to the river in Sunlit Plateauand start fishing. Once youget three fish of any kind, the quest will update, and you’ll need to speak to Vanellope again.
Vanellope thanks you for showing her some fun and turning normal tasks into extreme ones, and then the quest is complete.
