Pokemon Gois kicking off their new season, Season 12: Adventures Abound, with a brand-new in game event, coming with a slew of notable features and bonuses. This event,A Paldean Adventure, will be themed around Pokemon’s ninth generation of Pokemon, following suit with this season’s overall theme and focus.

This will be a five-day event, taking placefrom Tuesday, September 5 at 10am local time to Sunday, September 10 at 10am local time.There will be several Pokemon Go debuts that come with this event in addition to tons in-game bonuses, here’s all you need to know to make the most of it.

Pokemon Debuts

There will be several Pokemon making their Pokemon Go debuts during this event, all of which originating in the franchise’s ninth generation.

First, thethree generation nine starter Pokemonand their respective evolutions will be appearing in Pokemon Go for the first time. Each of these three complete evolution lines can be found below.

For these three evolution lines, it will require25 Candyto evolve them from the first stage Pokemon to the second, then another100 Candyto evolve them from the second stage Pokemon to their final evolution.

After this event has concluded, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly will beavailable to hatch from 5 km Eggs.

The other Pokemon making their debuts with this event areLechonkand its evolutionOinkologne.To complete this evolution, it will require50 Lechonk Candy,providing you with different versions of Oinkologne depending on if you evolve either a male or female Lechonk.

In addition to Lechonk making its Pokemon Go debut, you will have thechance of encounter its rare Shiny variation.Also, there will bePokeStop Showcases looking for the largest Lechonks,so verify to enter these Showcases for a chance to earn some nice rewards.

Once this event has concluded, you canhatch Lechonk from 2 km Eggs.

Event Bonuses

There will be a handful of large bonuses that you will benefit from when playing Pokemon Go during the days of this event. Log in to take advantage of the following benefits.

Although you will be able to earn Gimmighoul Coins from spinning these Golden PokeStops,you will not be able to encounter Roaming Form Gimmighoul.

In addition to these three bonuses,Hoppip, Houndour, Buizel, and Fletchling will have higher chances of being Shinywhen encountered. Shiny Pokemon are typically extremely rare, so make sure to take advantage of this incredible opportunity.

There will be afree Special Research Storyavailable to claim starting with introduction of this event. This Special Research Story will require you to choose and adventure with a “Paldean Partner,“offering multiple optionswhen it comes to the path that you choose.

This Special Research Story can be claimed from the start of this event, Tuesday, June 29, 2025, at 10am local time, upuntil the end of this Pokemon Go Seasonon Friday, July 24, 2025, at 9:59am local time.

Timed Research

There will be event Timed Research available to complete throughout this event. Completing the specific tasks associated with this Timed Research will provide you withencounters with Lechonk.

With this being Timed Research, it willonly be available throughout the course of this event.Make sure to complete the tasks included with this before the event has concluded.

Field Research Encounters

Visit PokeStops during this event for a chance to obtainEvent Field Research Tasks.Completing these specific tasks will provide you with anencounter with either Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, or Lechonk.

Take advantage of this if you may, as this proves to be an efficient way to acquire the four Pokemon making their debut with this event.

Event Collection Challenge

There will be a Collection Challenge available to complete during this eventfocused on different Paldean Pokemonnow available in the game. Completing this Collection Challenge will reward you with bothStardustandLechonk encounters.

Event Wild Encounters

There will beeightdifferent Pokemon that will have ahigher likelihood of appearing in the wildduring this event. With many of them being new to the game, make sure to adventure and take advantage of the following event-themed Pokemon spawns.

Event Raid Pokemon

Like with other Pokemon Go events, the Pokemon found in Raids during the Paldean Adventure Event will follow the event’s overall theme. Group up with friends and other Trainers to defeat and catch the following Raid Pokemon while they are available.

From September 1 to September 8, Kartana will only be available in theNorthern Hemisphereand Celesteela will only be available in theSouthern Hemisphere.

From September 8 to September 16this will be reversed,Kartana in the Southern Hemisphere and Celesteela in the Northern Hemisphere.

Event Egg Hatching

During this event,7 km Eggsthat are obtained will only hatch the four Pokemon making their in-game debut. This includesLechonk, Sprigatito, Fuecoco,andQuaxly.

Open Gifts sent to you by other Trainers to acquire these eggs, proving to be another great method to obtain these Pokemon that are new to Pokemon Go.
