Contracts serve as the side missions inAssassin’s Creed Mirage, and most of these reward you with Dirhams, weapons, outfits,Khidmah Tokens, and skill points. Completing the contracts alongside your main missions will ensure Basim is equipped with upgraded gear, tools, and pockets filled with Dirhams to purchase anything at heart’s content.
One of the early game contracts that challenge your mastery over the stealth mechanics of Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the Boat Heist contract. While most contracts are a breeze, successfully navigating through these missions without failing the contractor’s request is an absolute and demanding challenge.

2 Merchant Favor Tokens, 65 Dirham Currency
The Boat Heist contract in Assassin’s Creed Mirage can beacquired from the Contract Boardearly in the game. The task is also pretty straightforward as you are required to steal a boat docked in a small fort in theDitch Sluice of the Fiefarea.
While you can approach the mission any way you want, the contractor’s request is to remain undetected. Here’s a complete strategy to avoid being detected by guards and steal the boat.

Enter From The South Side
The fort is actually built over a canal, and you can approach it from any side you want. However, we recommend youenter from the south end near the fields. This is the perfect spot to infiltrate the area as you can pick every guard one by one with a very low chance of alarming nearby guards.
Creeping into the fort from thesouth sideis also convenient asyou will find a scaffolding there, helping Basim climb up.

Recon Using Enkidu
Now that you’ve set foot inside the fort, recon the area andtag any enemies patrolling around the boat. A few enemies do not patrol, and you must tag them using Enkidu; otherwise, you will have a high risk of being detected.
Once you get Enkidu to circle the fort a couple of times and ensure alltargets are marked, begin your assault as Basim and approach enemies in stealth mode, taking them out one by one.

Use Tools Wisely
Tools will help Basim significantly in picking his targets without anyone finding out about it. We highly suggest you rely onthrowing knivesandsmoke bombs; the latter only if the situation gets out of hand and you need a safe exit without being detected.
Headshots with throwing knivesshould be the go-to approach here as most guards, except the one armored guard, will be killed instantly in one hit. However, you need to time your aim and kill the guard without the next one finding out about it.

If you think the patrolling guards could find a corpse, carry it and throw it outside the fortto minimize any chance of suspicion that could aid enemies in detecting you.
Use Focus Ability For Multikill
At this point in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the Assassin’s Focus abilityshould be unlocked. Come prepared with bothFocus slotsfilled so you may eliminate at least two targets as early as possible during the infiltration.
We used theFocus abilityon these two guards, as shown in the image above, as one kept patrolling from point A to B while the other remained stationary.

Do not forget theguard posted behind the stairs, as he is more likely to spot Basim if you make a run for the next target.
Utilize Cover Assassinations
As much as tools and the Focus ability help Basim remain undetected, executing the cover assassinations perfectly is even more important. Your next targets will be a regular and an armored guard located at the far side of the fort.
Timing is key here. Creep in behind wooden boxes when the armored guard has gone at the far end. Then, distract the regular guard by whistling behind wooden boxes. As soon as he approaches, time the button prompt and execute him using the cover assassination.

Repeat the same process and assassinate the armored guardfrom the cover who is set to patrol this path near the wooden boxes.
The armored guard occasionally checks the small curtain shed, as seen in the image above. So do not hide in there.

Climb The Roof And Take Out Archer
The next move you should make in The Boast Heist contract is toclimb the roof after assassinating the armored guard. There are two more guards:an archerchecking out both ends of the roof momentarily andanother guard sitting idle.
Wait until both enemies are aligned into the positions as seen in the image above (guard sitting, with the archer looking over the edge without a low wall). Once you see this happen, quickly take them out to avoid detection.

Clear Out Remaining Enemies
Following the abovementioned guidelines, you should havejust one more guard left in the canal-based fort. Just try to be subtle and eliminate him without getting detected.
Open The Gate And Steal The Boat
The only step you should take after killing all guards is toapproach the gate controls and release the wheel by interacting with it. This will open the gate, allowing Basim to steal the boat and deliver it to the next marker you will see after controlling it.
