Pokemon Gois hosting theHarvest Festival Eventthis month, an event centered around Grass-type Pokemon available in the game. With this new event comes Pokemon debuts, event-themed Pokemon, event-exclusive research, in addition to several other bonuses and features.

The Harvest Festival Event will be available in Pokemon Go for a six-day period, active fromThursday, October 12, at 10am local time to Tuesday, October 17, at 8pm local time.While this event is going on, the entire landscape of the game will be experiencing a change, so we’ve made a guide covering all of the changes and features you can expect.

Pokemon Debuts

With this event comes the debut ofSmoliv,in addition to its two evolutions,DollivandArboliva.Smoliv, the Olive Pokemon, will be available to encounter and catch as awild encounteror as aField Research Task Encounterthroughout the Harvest Festival Event.

It will require25 Smoliv Candyto evolve Smoliv into Dolliv, then another100 Smoliv Candyto evolve Dolliv into Arboliva.

Smoliv Candy can be earned by catching or transferring different Smoliv.

Event Bonuses

There will be three different in-game bonuses that all players can benefit from during the days of the Harvest Festival Event.

The first two bonuses both have to do with the Mossy Lure Module,increasing its duration to two hours, andincreasing the likelihood of encountering Pumpkaboothrough the use of this item.

The final bonus will provide you withincreased Pumpkaboo Candy when catching different Pumpkaboothroughout this event. Take advantage of this bonus to stock up on this valuable resource used to power-up and evolve Pumpkaboo.

Event Wild Encounter Pokemon

During the Harvest Festival Event, there will be severalGrass-type Pokemonthat will be frequently spawning in the wild. ensure to log in and participate during the six days of this event for a chance to encounter and catch the following 12 Pokemon.

Field Research Task Encounters

SpecificEvent Field Research Taskswill be available to obtain from PokeStops during the Harvest Festival Event. Completing some of these Field Research Tasks will lead to encounters with different event-themed Pokemon as a reward.

Those who have purchased theTicket of Treats Paid Timed Researchwill be granted access to the latest portion of this Timed Research with the start of this event. This section of the Tickets of Treats Timed Research will reward you withPumpkaboo encountersand aMossy Lure Modulewhen completed.

Event Collection Challenge

There will beHarvest Festival-themed Collection Challengesavailable to all players once this event begins. These Collection Challenges will require you to catch and evolve specific event-themed Pokemon, rewarding you withXP, Stardust,andMossy Lure Modulesas completion rewards.

Event Pokemon Showcases

Harvest Festival-themed Pokemon Showcaseswill be taking place at select PokeStops throughout the duration of this event. These Pokemon Showcases will require you to enter eitherSmoliv, Pumpkaboo,orGourgeist.

Pokemon Showcases often give you a higher ranking based on how large the Pokemon that you entered is.

For this reason, make sure youhold onto particularly large Smoliv, Pumpkaboo, and Gourgeistthat you catch during this event.
