This adventure will take you to many ruins and make you gather materials for Merlin and for crafting a diving suit. Here’s everything you need to know to complete this quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How To Unlock The Mystical Crystal Friendship Quest
You must reachlevel ten friendship with Prince Ericto unlock The Mystical Crystal Friendship Quest. Once you’ve done that,talk to Ericto start the quest, and he’ll tell you what’s been bothering him.
On his last voyage, Eric found strange ruins, and his compass went haywire. He needs to get closer to investigate, and that’s where you come in.
The compass is useless on its own with magic nearby the ruins, but Eric thinks you canenchant the compassto help him in his expeditions. Eric will give you his compass and the strange artifact he recovered, sotake them to Merlinto proceed.
How To Get The Mystical Compass
When you give Merlin the items, he has no idea what the artifact could be for. Thankfully, he doesn’t need to know what it is to enchant it.
You’ll need togather a few materialsto make it work, similar to how you foundDonald Duckearlier. You’ll need to collectfive Purified Night Shards and ten Crystals.
Once they’ve been acquired,return to Merlinto enchant the compass. Take the compass andspeak to Prince Ericagain. You’re one step closer to reaching those artifacts, but Eric needs a way to walk underwater. Luckily, Mr. McDuck should have plans for a diving suit.
How To Craft the Diving Suit
Prince Eric will rush to get the plans from Mr. McDuck and bring them to you. You’ll need more materials this time tocraft the diving suit,and most of the materials must also be crafted.
There is a chance that Kristoff’s Stall will sell uncommon materials, like ores and glass. Check back with him to see if they’re available.
Fabric

You can craft fabric from cotton. Goofy’s stall in the Sunlit Plateau sells cotton seeds.
Iron Ingot

Iron ingot can be crafted using fiveiron oreand a coal ore
Gold Ingot

Gold ingot can be crafted from five gold nuggets and a coal ore
Glass

Glass can be crafted using five sand and a coal ore.
If you’ve unlocked the Forgotten Lands and progressed enough to remove the green flames, you can collect glass by putting out the fires.
After you’ve gathered what you need,bring the materials to Eric. He’ll assemble the diving suit and head out in search of the ruins.
The screen will fade black for a moment and return once Eric has finished his expedition. He found all sorts of artifacts that he cansell new blueprintsfor. He also no longer needs the suit, so he’ll give you theDiving Helmetas thanks.
