This year,Pokemon Gohas been hosting global events coinciding with each of their Pokemon Go Fest 2023 Events. For Pokemon Go Fest 2023: New York City, they are hosting theNoxious Swamp Event,available to all players around the world and presenting some features that coincide with this live event.

The Noxious Swamp Event is only a four-day event,taking place from Saturday, August 19 at 10am local time to Tuesday, August 22 at 8pm local time.This event will prove to be extremely valuable, especially for those who cannot attend the live event in New York, so we’ve put together a guide, so you can make the most of it.
Event Bonuses
During the four days of the Noxious Swamp Event, there will bethree different in-game bonusesavailable to all players who log in and play Pokemon Go. These three bonuses have to do with different components of the game, each provided for you below.
Event Research
Timed Research
During the Noxious Swamp Event, there will beTimed Research free for all players. The different tasks that are a part of this Event Timed Research will primarily have to do withparticipating in Pokemon Go Raids.
Completing these Timed Research Tasks will provide you with different Pokemon encounters, including those that arePoison and Dragon types.One Pokemon that you’re able to guarantee to encounter through these reward is Jangmo-O.
Tasks for this Timed Research must be completed and rewards must be claimedprior to the end of the Noxious Swamp Event.
Field Research Encounters
There will besix different Pokemonthat you will have the opportunity encounter and catch through Event Field Research Tasks during this event. Visit and spin different PokeStops throughout this event for a chance to encounter one of the Pokemon provided below.

Event Wild Encounter Pokemon
There will be 11 different Pokemon that will have anincreased spawn in the wildduring the Noxious Swamp Event. verify to take advantage of this because some of these Pokemon may be rare to encounter outside of this event.
Below you can find each of these 11 event wild encounter Pokemon, mainly consisting of either Dragon or Poison-type Pokemon.

During this event, you will see achange in the Pokemon that appear in different Raidsacross the globe. Below you may find each of these Raid Pokemon with the type of Raid that they can be found in during the Noxious Swamp Event.

Additionally, there will be a handful of Shadow Pokemon appearing inShadow Raidsduring this event. The difficulty of these Shadow Raid battles will differ depending on the Raid tier, so make sure you prepare accordingly beforehand.
