Now that Prince Eric has returned to his human form inDisney Dreamlight Valley, he wants to investigate something Ursula mentioned a while ago when he was one of her poor unfortunate souls. While he’s glad to see Ariel and spend his life with her, it’s difficult to do so when she’s confined to the ocean and the ponds around the valley.

You’re familiar with the frustration, too, most likely. How often have you tried to track her down only to see your favorite mermaid at the edge of the map? It’d be much easier to spend time with Ariel on land, and it would make Prince Eric happy, too.
How To Unlock Part of His World Friendship Quest
Before you’re able to start this Friendship Quest with Eric, there are a few prerequisites that must be met. You must getPrince Eric to level threefriendship and have bothRemy and Maui unlocked.
Once these conditions have been met, you cantalk to Prince Ericto start the quest. He wants to do more research on what Ursula said while he was held captive during The Forgetting.
There may be a way to give Ariel legs again, but you’ll need more help. Prince Eric asks that youspeak to Mauiabout shapeshifting since a shapeshifting demigod is knowledgeable about land and sea.
How To Craft The Shapeshifting Enchantment
When you talk to Maui, he’ll explain his shapeshifting abilities to try and help Ariel. You’ll need to gather some ingredients tocraft a Shapeshifting Enchantmentafterward.
What you’ll need is five White Impatiens, five Purified Night Shards, and one empty vial.Go to a crafting stationto put them all together, and once the enchantment is made,talk to Prince Eric.
When you bring him the enchantment, he has another task for you. You’ll need tocatch a nautilusto house the enchantment in, similar to Ursula’s necklace when she pretended to be Vanessa.
Prince Eric will give you Fish Gut Oil to give to Remy as the next step in his plan.Bring Remy the Fish Gut Oiland he’ll tell you how to craft the bait.
How To Find The Nautilus
To get the Nautilus, youmust craft bait. It’s a bit fishy, but Remy knows where to get the ingredients you’ll need. Some ingredients can be grown on land, and others must be fished out of the sea.
Garlic

You can pick garlic in the Forest of Valor. It’s a wild spice-type ingredient.
Onion
You can purchase Onion Seeds from Goofy’s Stall in the Forest of Valor.
Lancetfish

you’re able to fish for Lancetfish in the Forgotten Lands by targeting blue bubbles.
Crab
You can fish for crab in the Frosted Heights by aiming for blue bubbles.
Once you’ve gathered your ingredients,speak to Remyso he can craft the bait for you. It’s time to head down to Dazzle Beach and fish up a Nautilus.
Apply the baitto your fishing rod, head towards the wooden bridge, and cast away. When you retrieve the Nautilus,return to Prince Eric.
How To Turn Ariel Human
With everything complete, Eric gives you the Nautilus pendant. He wants you tobring the pendant to Arielso that she can join him and all the other villagers on land again.
Once Ariel has the pendant, she can take human form again and be where the people are.
This change isn’t permanent. You can swap Ariel’s appearance from the character section of your collections menu in case you want her to be in mermaid form again.
Both Ariel and Prince Eric are grateful for your help and friendship. You’ll complete the quest and unlock Ariel’s human form.
When you ask Ariel to hang out with you now, you’ll be able to select a role for her like with any other villager. The only role she can’t have is fishing because, well, that would be awkward.
