Pokemon Gohas awarded players with a bonus event for the latest Pokemon Go season as a result of the community’s efforts during this year’s Pokemon Go Fest. Titled theUltra Unlock: Paldea Event,this event is centered around Pokemon’s ninth generation, coinciding with the game’s current season, Adventures Abound.

Serving as an extension of the game’s last limited time event,A Paldean Adventure, this event will be taking place over the course of five days, fromSunday, September 10 at 10am local time to Friday, September 15, at 8pm local time.This guide will break down all the unique bonuses and features that are coming with this brand-new event.

Pokemon Debuts

For this event, there will be nine Pokemon making their Pokemon Go debuts, all of which originated in Pokemon’s Paldean region. This includesBombirdier, Nymble, Lokix, Pawmi, Pawmo, Pawmot, Frigibax, Arctibax,andBaxcalibur.

With its debut, Bombirdier’sshiny variation will also be availableto encounter once this event has begun.

With this including three separate evolutionary lines, below you can find what is required to perform the evolutions with each of these Pokemon making their debuts.

Following the conclusion of this event, Frigibax can behatched from 10 km Eggs.

Make sure to participate in this event to increase your chances of encountering and catching these Pokemon new to Pokemon Go. This will allow you rack up each of their unique Candies, allowing you perform each of their evolution.

For this event, there will be an exclusive Timed Research available to all players for the cost of$5.00 USD. You will be rewarded with the following for completing the tasks associated with this Paid Timed Research.

This Timed Research and its rewards willonly be available during this event.

Free Timed Research

The Timed Research that was released for the A Paldean Adventure Event will continue through this event. The different tasks that come with this Timed Research will reward you withmultiple Lechonk encounters.

Field Research Task Encounters

Visit and spin different Poke Stop Photo Discs for a chance to obtain event-exclusive Field Research Tasks. Completing these Field Research Tasks will reward you withencounters with Pawmi,one of the new Pokemon coming to the game with this event.

Event Wild Encounters

Several event-themed Pokemon will beappearing in the wild more frequentlyduring this limited-time event, many of which are debut Pokemon. This includes the following 11 Pokemon provided for you below.

Event Raid Pokemon

Event-themed Pokemon will continue to populate different Raidsthroughout the time of the Ultra Unlock: Paldea Event. Each of these Pokemon and the specific type of Raid that they will be found in can be found below.

Kartana will only be available in theNorthern Hemisphereand Celesteela will only be available in theSouthern Hemispherefrom September 1 to September 8.

From September 8 to September 16,this will be the opposite, allowing you to encounter both of these Pokemon in Raids over this two-week period.

Event Egg Pokemon

7 km Eggsacquired throughout this event will still contain one of four event-themed Pokemon. This includesLechonkand the three ninth generation starter Pokemon,Fuecoco, Sprigatito,andQuaxly.

Open Gifts sent to you by other Trainers on your Friends List and travel distance while playing Pokemon Go to obtain and hatch these limited-time 7 km Eggs.

New Season Avatar Items

Starting on July 24, 2025, there will be brand-new avatar items available to purchase at the in-game stop.

This includes thePaldea Set (Kitakami), Paldea Backpack (Kitakami),andPaldea Sandals (Kitakami),all themed around characters fromPokemon Scarlet & Violet’slatest DLC, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask.
