Cooking is an exciting mechanic inDisney Dreamlight Valley, especially when you come up with new recipes that create your favorite treats. There’s one thing missing though, and it can only be unlocked by befriending everyone’s favorite little chef. You’ll need to enlist the help of some fellow villagers to bring a little extra magic to the valley.

Desserts are delicious, but ice cream is notably absent throughout the game. Frozen treats can be unlocked by progressing further with Remy, as he wants to bring them back to the valley as well. He just needs a little help remembering the recipes and gathering the ingredients.
How To Unlock The Unknown Flavor Friendship Quest
Before you’re able to begin uncovering thecrafting recipe for Slush Ice, you’ll have to complete a few prerequisites to unlock the quest.
Each location is vital tofinding the ingredientsyou’ll need, and WALL-E is a great help as well. Once these conditions are met, you’ll unlock the quest.
Talk to Remy to learn that he wants to recreate therecipe for a frozen dessert, but more magical than regular treats.
How To Make Ice Slush
While it might seem easier to ask Elsa for help,Remy wants to complete the processon his own. He’ll send you toask Merlin for help, as he knows the most about magic. Merlin keeps a book about enchanted food in his library.Interact with the bookcaseto find the notes.
The recipe calls forthree Purified Night Shards. You’ll needfive Night Shards and one Dream Shardfor each Purified Night Shard. Once you’ve made themat a Crafting Station, you need to crush them into powder.Talk to WALL-Eand he’ll crush them for you since he’s a mini trash compactor.
Now that you have the powder, take it to aCrafting Station to make Ice Slush. You’ll want to collect15 Snowballs from the Frosted Heightsby digging in the snow. Using the snowballs and the vial of Purified Night Shard Powder, you cancraft Ice Slush.
How To Make Vanilla Ice Cream
Now that you’ve made Ice Slush, Remy would like you to do the honors of craftinga classic dessert: Vanilla Ice Cream. To make the treat, you’ll need the following ingredients:
Available at the counter for purchase in Chez Remy.
Sugarcane
Available for purchase as seeds or fully grown at Goofy’s Stall on Dazzle Beach.
Vanilla
Can be picked in the Sunlit Plateau.
Put everything togetherin your favorite kitchen to create Vanilla Ice Cream. Remy will be ecstatic that you recreated the treat and reward you withthe “Best Chef” shelffor your home.
