You may not be raising any livestock inMoonstone Island, but that doesn’t mean you don’t need a nice barn, especially if you want to tame a lot of Spirits. You’re limited to carrying a maximum of three Spirits with you at a time, and once you reach that limit, you’ll need a Spirit Barn to store any Spirits you aren’t actively using, as well as hatch Spirit eggs found in your explorations.

In this guide, we’ll show you where to find the Spirit Researcher, Zed, how to complete his quest Spirit Research: Taming Spirits 101, so you can unlock the blueprint for a Spirit Barn, and tell you how to find all the materials you’ll need to craft one of your own.
How To Find Zed
In order to unlock the Spirit Barn, first, you’ll need tomeet with Zed, Moonstone Island’s resident Spirit Researcher. He lives on thesouthwestern corner of the islandin atower with a golden sun symbolon top of it.
Go inside, andspeak to Zed. He’ll introduce himself, and ask if you canhelp him with his Spirit Researchsince you’re an alchemist, and in return, he’ll get Paolo to draw up blueprints for a Spirit Barn.

He’ll ask you totame any level five Spirit, and thensubmit the Research to him.
How To Obtain A Level Five Spirit
Spirits you find in mines onMoonstone Islandwill only be between levels one andthree, so to find higher-level ones, you’ll need to startexploring.
A wild Spirit’s levels arelimited based on their proximity to the starting island, so thefurther you go out, the stronger Spirits you’ll find. You’ll need a Balloon or a Broom to begin exploring other islands.

Upon arriving at a new Island with Wild Spirits, simplywander around and banish Spiritsuntil one that’s level five spawns andtame it.
Fly back to Moonstone Island andspeak to Zedwhen he’sbehind the counter at his home, and selectSubmit Spirit Research. He’ll thank you for the help and say he’llcontact you by mailwhen he’s made some progress.

How To Unlock Spirit Barn Blueprints
Waitone day of in-game time,then go toany mailbox in the game, and you’ll have a letter waiting for you from Zed.
Read it, and he’ll mention that he’s learned some things thanks to the research you’ve provided him with, and you’llobtain the recipe for a Spirit Barn, as well as the recipes for theSpirit StallandSpirit Nest.

How To Craft A Spirit Barn
You’ll needWood, Stone, Iron Ingots, and a Moonstone Ingotto craft your Spirit Barn, and it’ll need to be crafted at aMoonstone Enchanter.
The Moonstone Enchanter is a crafter thathandles the crafting of anything magical, and you’ll need aMoonstone Ingot, Copper Ingots,andIron Ingotsto craft it.
To craft both the Moonstone Crafter and the Spirit barn, you’ll need to have completed thequest Furnace For A Friendfrom Ferra andunlocked the furnaceto craft any ingots.
How To Obtain It
Wood x100
Can be found whencutting down large and small size treeswith an Axe onMoonstone Islandorany other Island type.
Stone x100
Can be found whenbreaking gray stoneson Islands or within mines.
Moonstone Ingot x1
Smelted in a Furnace fromthree Moonstone. Moonstones can be obtained atnighttime from glowing patches of grasson any island.
Iron Ingot x3
Smelted in a Furnace fromthree Iron Ore. Iron Ore can be mined from breakingIron Ore nodes in mines. Mines can be found randomlywhen breaking stoneswith your Hammer.
Once you have all the materials, all you need to do next iscraft the Spirit Barnand thenplace it downwherever you’d like.
