InArmored Core 6, things get tough when you reach Chapter Four. Your mission here is to infiltrate an underground facility to uncover the secrets of the Coral Convergence. After navigatingthrough Depth 1andDepth 2 successfully, you now confront the final stage of Depth 3 to move forward. However, an obstacle stands in your way, which is a laser barrage.

Your primary objective here is to locate the core of this laser barrage and destroy it. Doing so will grant you access to proceed deeper into the facility, bringing you closer to uncovering the mysteries of the Coral Convergence.

Mission Overview

After dealing with the ENFORCER at Depth 2, Handler initiates the next briefing where you’ll beproceeding further down to Depth 3.

This is an underground cave thatcontains a laser barrier blocking anyone who’s trying to progress deeper.

The laser barrier isfueled by a huge reactor, andyour mission is to destroy it from the inside.

Once this barrier is disabled, you’ll be venturing into unknown territory where the Coral awaits.

Recommenced Loadout for this mission in Armored Core 6

However, it may seem straightforward, butthere are several obstaclesthat will attempt to impede your progress in this mission.

For this mission, your loadout is similar to what you used in Underground Exploration - Depth 2. However, there are some adjustments.

This time around, you can skip the melee weapon and instead equip thePlasma Rifle and the Zimmerman shotgun. These two weapons provide high damage and a decent stagger.

If you still prefer a melee weapon, consider theStun Batondue to its ability to stagger enemies effectively.

Another useful addition for the first part of the mission is thePulse Shield.

Since you’ll faceenemies shooting lasers from a distance, you may either take cover or use the shield to charge at them.

If you’ve been usingSongbirds and are comfortable with them, you may always rely on these shoulder weapons for many encounters, including this one.

It’s advisable to maintaina light AC setupfor this mission, which provides agility and flexibility.

Infiltrate The Core Of The Depth 3 Reactor

At the mission’s start, you’ll find yourself in the same room where you defeated the ENFORCER.

In front of you,there’s a doorthat you must interact with to proceed.

Following this way, you’ll reacha massive reactor with a quest marker at the bottom.

However, don’t rush down blindly.Be aware that there are laser-shooting snipers ready to target you.

Fortunately,there are covers available in the area, so you need to navigate cautiously.

If you have the Pulse Shield, you’re able to use it to block these laser attacks.

Once you’ve reached the first quest marker,there are a few collectibles to obtain from this point.

Acquiring The Battle Logs And Archive Data

Hidden Part Container #1

From this location,move towards the right sidewhile using available cover to shield yourself from the laser-shooting enemies.

As you progress, you’ll encountera group of generators on a platform across from you.

Behind these generators, you’ll find a chest containing theIA-C01F: OCELLUS.

Combat Log #1 And #2

After collecting the container chest,head to the center of the reactorwhere the laser-shooting enemies are.

Defeat as many as possible since this will significantly ease your navigation through this area.

From the center of the reactor,move to the rightand follow the path until youreach the second bridge. Here, you’ll encounter an MT; defeat it to obtain the first Combat Log.

Not far from this point,continue forward to the next bridge, where you’ll find another MT. Defeat it to obtain the second Combat Log.

Hidden Part Container #2

After you defeat the second MT for the Combat Log, at the end of the same bridge, you will find a chest containingIA-C01C: EPHEMERA (Core).

Destroy The Pressure Chamber

After getting your hands on all the collectibles,continue on your path toward the Reactor.

Follow the quest marker toa door at the bottom of the reactorto access its interior. Once inside,go to the right and descenduntil you findan entrance on your left.

Inside this room, you’ll encountera few PCA enemiesthat you must defeat; they shouldn’t pose much of a problem.

Use your Plasma Rifle to deal major damage and finish them off with your shoulder missiles.

Now that you’ve eliminated all of them, interact with the door ahead andfollow the path to the right until you reach the target core.

Destroy it, and suddenlyyou’ll notice the entire place starting to crumble.

Destroy The Autonomous Defense AC Ephemera

The clock’s ticking, andyou’ve got just two minutes to make your exit from this place.

But here’s the catch: you’re about to face off against a powerful opponent known asEPHEMERA.

This isa swift and heavily armed AC equipped with a bunch of energy-based weaponry.

EPHEMERA gotthree primary attacksin her arsenal:

The tricky one to handle is the Slashwave Shot, mainly due to its two combo attacks.

You’ve got two options here: if you’ve got a shield equipped,block the attack and then rush in to dish out some damage.

If you don’t have a shield, you’ll need someprecise timing and nimble dodging skills to avoid it.

Try toquick boost in the opposite directionjust before the slash lands.

When you’re taking on EPHEMERA,a bit of aggression goes a long way. You’ve got less than two minutes to take her down, andyou’ll need a few extra seconds to make your escape.

Here’s the game plan: Start byunloading your missiles on her, then quickly switch to theZimmerman shotgun for some extra punch.

Wait for her next attack and dodge it, thenfire your Plasma Rifle,followed by another volley of missiles(they should be charged up by now).

If you can corner her against a wall, that’s your golden opportunity. Go all out with your weapons, and aim tofill that stagger meter to maximize your damage output.

Alternatively, if you happen to have theStun Baton,start with that, then launch your missiles. These two moves shouldfill up the stagger meter nicely.

Swiftlyswitch back to your primary weapon, whether it’s the Plasma Rifle or the Zimmerman, andlay down some serious damage while her stagger meter is filled.

EPHEMERA’s other attacks arerelatively slow, and you canquick boost out of harm’s way pretty easily, except for that annoying Slashwave Shot.

A reminder that even though you’ve got a two-minute timer hanging over your head,don’t let it stress you out.

Stay aggressive, stick to the strategy, and make sure you leave yourself a little time to high-tail it out of the reactor.

Escape From The Reactor Core

After you defeat EPHEMERA, you’ll be able to interact with the exit door, quickly make your way there and out.

Boost upward and to the rightfollowing the quest marker until you reach the save point.

Once you’re safe, you’ll see that the core is destroyed, andthe laser barrage is no longer active. This allows you tocontinue your mission for the Coral Convergence.

And most importantly, completing the mission will reward you with270,000 COAM.
