The nation of Fontaine was introduced inGenshin Impact’s 4.0 patch update, and gave us the Clockwork Meka, effectively adding 12 new entries to the game’s automatons category. These enemies can be classified into two subgroups: normal Meks and Specialist Meks. Drawing a distinction helps differentiate between the combat capacity of each model.

Specialist Meks are fewer than their regular counterparts, with only four models in total. However, they are still a common find throughout the Fontaine map. From their unique design to their undeniable combat prowess, getting to know this enemy type can help you figure out the best combat strategy to make quick work of them.
What Are Specialist Meks?
Although the game does not categorize these enemy models as elite, Specialist Meks are still very formidable opponents. Theydepend on Arkhe energy to be able to wield the elementsin combat and can alsochange combat tactics depending on their Arkhe alignment.
It ispossible to disable their Arkhe energy, somewhat lowering their combat abilities. However, they do not shut down.

Disabling a Specialist Meks' Arkhe energy will requireattacking with the opposite type of energy two consecutivetimes within a short timeframe.
Clockwork Meka areunable to switch between energies. Therefore, they willremain the same Arkhe typeregardless of how many times they are disabled. Meks will also have somecrucial differences in their design and element depending on their Arkhe alignment, making it easier to differentiate between each type beyond theglow of their clockwork gear’s energy type.
