Faceless One, Chisel Of Oblivion Boss Fight Guide
As mentioned above,Faceless One is the obligatory tutorial bossyou must overcome before you’re able to begin your adventure ‘for real.’
Fortunately, theyonly possess three attacksthey will cycle through, which we will cover in great detail in the sections below. If you arestruggling with timing or reading their attacks, the sections below will hopefully shed some light on the nuancesof each attack, showing you how toproperly read and react to them!

Wheel Toss
Faceless One willopen the encounter by throwing its large, spiked wheel into the ground before you. While this is a very cool way to make an entrance, this is alsoone of their attacks that they will toss out periodicallythroughout the battle.
This move istelegraphed by the Faceless One leaping high into the air before they stallmomentarily and hurl the large spiked wheel toward you.You will receive sizable damage if the wheel hits you, so you must avoid it at all costs.

Luckily,as soon as you see the Faceless One leap into the air, wait until he pausesto throw the wheel, thenbegin dashing forward until you are out of the wheel’s trajectory.TheFaceless One will land in front of you, allowing you tofollow up with your own attacks!
Wheel Callback
Immediately after their Wheel Toss ability, theFaceless One will call the wheel backto them, having it roll across the ground and back into their armsagain. Keep this in mind, asyou will have to be ready to jump over it as it returnsto the Faceless One, especially if you are currently attacking them.
As soon as you see the Faceless One extend their arm outward, stop attacking, and prepare yourself to jumpover the wheel, as that’s when it will begin moving back to them. After it’s backinto the arms of the Faceless One,they will either do another Wheel Toss or the Spinning Wheelattack.

Spinning Wheel
Thethird and final attack of the Faceless Oneis theSpinning Wheel, whichhas them violently spin forward across the arena, dealing mass damage if it comes in contact with you. Overall, this ability is easy to avoid once you know its sign, but it can be tricky regarding timing.
If yousee the Faceless One lift the wheel above their head and begin spinning it with a trail of bloodflowing over it,they are about to perform the Spinning Wheelattack. This isthe only attack that has the color red appear when they’re on the ground,so as soon as you see it, prepare to evade it.

Toevade this attack, you will have totime your jump and leap over the Faceless One just before they reach you.Once you land, you can quickly dash toward them and land several attacksof your own. If you can’t reach them, don’t worry, you will still have plenty of other opportunities to land attacks on them!
Additionally, since this attack ends with the wheel remaining in the Faceless One’s possession, they willeither follow it up with yet another Spinning Wheel or the Wheel Tossattacks, so be on guard after getting a few hits in. Don’t get overly greedy.Only two to three hitswill be more than enough.
Depending on the starting weapon you chose, you might be able to get a few more hits in during their recovery period for each attack. However, we strongly suggest sticking to two to three hits at most, as that will still deal decent amounts of damage while also giving you ample time to react and evade their next attack!
