He’s not too bad if you’re taking him on by yourself, but there are some pretty nasty attacks he can throw out which will make the brawl a bit of a pain to deal with, especially if your Power Level is low. To help you burst this pus-covered blob, here’s a handy guide on how to beat Tal’Ratha in Remnant 2.
How To Find Tal’Ratha
One of the best things about Tal’Ratha, is that he’svery easy to find. You’ll eitherbegin your campaign on N’Erudor stumble onto him as you go through the story, but almost immediately you will meet eitherThe Custodian or Tal’Ratha. The Custodian will tell you about Tal’Ratha and that you’ll need to find his physical form over at the Astropaths Temple.
This area is found in the second part of N’Erud. If you start in the Forgotten Prison, you’ll encounteran intercom that will allow you to speak to Tal’Ratha. After speaking with Tal’Ratha he’ll ask you tofind the Soul Sparks.

To find this item, you’ll need to look for a semi-buried bunker-looking buildingwith a large ramp leading down. There are a few of these in the area outside of the Forgotten Prison, so it’ll be a bit of trial and error until you find the right one. After retrieving it you’ll usually be ambushed by Zombies, take them down, and thenhead to the Astropaths Temple.
The temple is alarge, church-like building in the same zone, and at the center of its spire is a large glowing circle. Thispseudo Eye of Sauronwill highlight and follow you when you get close,so if you see that, you’ve found the right spot.

The Soul Sparks you’ve collectedcan then be used to release him from his prisonand when you do you’ll be able to talk to him in a wide open room. During the dialogue, you’ll be able to direct the conversation to one of two results, you eitherrefuse to let him eat you or let him consume you. Both choices result in a boss fight either way.
If you refuse you’ll fightTal’Rathas physical form. But if you accept you’ll take onTal’Ratha’s meta-physical formon another plane of existence.

For this guide, we’ll be taking a look at thephysical form of Tal’Rathathat’s encountered when you refuse his offer to let him eat you.
How To Beat Tal’Ratha
As we mentioned already, Tal’Ratha isn’t too bad to take on.He’s big and slow, so your shots are not exactly going to miss him. However, don’t underestimate him as he’s pretty good at closing that gapand can do it much quicker than you think. He’s also a bit tanky, buthis Weak Point is his big gaping mouth, so you’ve got an easy and large target to aim at.
In general, you want to keep him on the opposite side of the room. Mainly because there are a couple of nasty attacks that you really don’t want popping off whilst you’re right next to him.

Like the charge, body slam, or suck moves.Elemental attacks like BURNING and SHOCK work well against him, and you generally want to go in with something that’s fairlyaccurate at range with a high rate of fire. This should make it easier to dump damage without him getting too close. Also, watch out for the canister tossas occasionally Zombie minions will crawl out of them.
When Tal’Ratha’s mouth is open you’re able to toss explosives inside for big damage. Or if you’re lucky, he’ll be stunned for a few seconds. This trick can be repeated.

Tal’Ratha’s Attacks
Tal’Ratha has a fairly large list of attacks in his physical form. Which is rather surprising for a gooey, green, blob-monster. For example,he will throw his weight around in a slam, toss canistersthat spawn minions as previously mentioned, punch the groundto create damaging shockwaves, use aranged vomit attack, orspawn damaging orbs.
There are also two attacks in particular that you really should watch out for as they inflict a ton of damage and are pretty tricky to avoid. The first is alunging charge where Tal’Ratha crawls towards you with its mouth open, if it gets you, you’ll be eaten and then tossed out again. The other involvesTal’Ratha opening his gaping maw and then sucking you infor big damage and another unfriendly toss.

The hitbox detection is a little funky with the charge. Generally, if you’re directly in front of him, or inside his arms you’ll get grabbed.Wait and then dodge to the side.
This suck attack can pull you all the way in from the other side of the arena, so it’s very dangerous.Dodge rolling won’t workand will only drag you further in. Instead, try sprinting back or to the side, go as far as you can to slow your progress toward his mouth, and don’t bother with damage, just try to outlast the vacuum.

Here’s abrief rundown of his move listso it’s easier to remember.
Tal’Ratha tosses out canisters that can spawn Zombie Minions.
Ground Pound
Tal’Ratha looms up and then slams the ground, sending out a shockwave.
Tal’Ratha summons energy orbs that fly toward you.
Charging Lunge
Tal Ratha goes on all fours, opens his mouth wide, and charges in a line.
Vacuum Suck
Tal’Ratha opens his mouth and begins sucking everything in for a few seconds.
It’s not a normal attack, but if you’re behind Tal’Ratha he’ll also give you a nasty back-kickif you get too close.

Rewards For Beating Tal’Ratha
The rewards for beating the physical form of Tal’Ratha are pretty decent and will aid your campaign run quite a bit. Just like other bosses in Remnant 2,Tal’Ratha drops a Lumenite Crystal, Scrap, and a Tome of Knowledge. But because he’s a World Boss he also gives aShining Essence Echo, which can beconverted into the Void Idol at the Dryzyr Replicator or given to The Custodian to make the Siphon Heart.
But the main selling point of taking down this mask-wearing snot blob is thathe also drops the Spiced Bile. This crafting part can begiven to McCabe to turn into the Nebula handgun. Which is basically ahandheld Acid sprayerthat also sends out damaging Nanomachines.

Nebula’s base damage stat is just 12, but its magazine size is 55, so you may hold that trigger down for quite a while. Plus, there’s no overheat, so you can deluge targets in Acid. Speaking of,its projectile applies the CORRODED status effecton targets which deals 300 CORROSIVE damage over fifteen seconds.
Also, targets killed by this effect spawn a gas cloudthat lasts for two seconds and applies CORROSIVE damage to any hostile it touches.

There’s alsothe Nano Swarm Weapon Modthat comes baked into the weapon. When it’s available, this unique Weapon Mod sends out a swarm of Nanomachine dronesthat will hunt down targets in a 20-meter area. They repeatedly attack and on hit deal six ACID damagebefore disappearing after about 15 seconds. So it’s a nice little crowd-control ability.
