Bosses inLies Of Pcan be challenging, so having a solid strategy can make these encounters more manageable. Once you reach Malum District, you’ll start hearing about the Black Rabbit Brotherhood, and you’ll notice their signs all around as you explore. This group consists of four stalkers who are infamous in this area, and they will taunt you.
Fortunately, their teasing comes to an end when you reach the district’s end, where you’ll face them in an unusual boss fight. In this fight, you’ll need to take on all four brothers in one fight.
The Black Rabbit Brotherhood Attacks
The Black Rabbit Brotherhood isn’t as tough a battle as some previous bosses, butdealing with all four of them can be worrisome at first.
Luckily, the boss fight begins with the Eldest brother, who has the boss meter HP and serves as your main target.As you chip away each quarter of his HP, another brother will join the fray.
The main showdown is with the Eldest brother, but you’ll need to handle the others.
The Eldest Attacks
The Eldest usesa range of swinging attacks,often in pairs or groups of five attack combos, along withuppercut swing attacks. He can be quite annoying withhis spin attack, which involves four 360-degree swings.
When he performs hisdownward three swings combo,he follows up with a Furious Attack.
When you find yourself at a distance from him, he tends to unleash one of two attacks. First,he might leap towards you, delivering a forceful downward strike from his weapon to bridge the gap. Alternatively, he may opt fora charging attack, rushing at you and concluding it with a potent swing.
The Youngest Attacks
The Youngest brother uses double blades. She’sfast, agile, and quickin her movements and attacks.
Watch out for her charge blade attack, whereshe dashes and unleashes a series of slashing moves. She also has atwo-kick comboandoccasionally throws knivesif you’re too far away.
The Eccentric Attacks
The second brother, known as the Eccentric, wields a spear and can be particularly troublesome due to his ability to stun you with some of his attacks.
For instance, he employsthrusting attacks where he lunges forward with his spear, capable of interrupting your actions. Additionally, he executesa quick combo of thrusting attacks.
Similar to the Eldest, he also incorporates aspinning spear attack, whirling his spear in your direction.
Lastly, he has a move where heleaps from a distance and lands on you. If you happen to be at a distance, he may optto charge towards you,swinging his spear as an attack.
The Battle Maniac Attacks
Finally, the last of the brothers is the Battle Maniac. He employsthe Puppet Stringto swiftly bridge the gap between you and him, typically following it up with a quick attack.
His most frequently used attacks includea combo where he executes a rapid series of slashes or strikes.
The Black Rabbit Brotherhood Strategy
As you’re aware,your primary target is the Eldest brother, although attempting to ignore the others and focus solely on him can lead to a chaotic situation.While this is manageable, it is not the ideal approach to this fight.
Summoning theSpecteris a good way to split the brothers' attention. Consider bringing along aFriendship Wishstone or Protective Wishstoneto prolong the Specter’s life.
The Eldest’s attacks are somewhat slow and predictable, providing you witha higher chance of executing a Perfect Guard against most of them.
It’s advisable tostrike only after he completes his combosand then go for one or two hits. Afterwards, step back cautiously and be prepared for his next attack.
If your Perfect Guard skills are sharp,you’re able to even break his weapon, which reduces the damage he inflicts.
Once you’ve shaved off 25 percent of his health,the Youngest brother will join the battle. In this situation, it’s important to keep them separated.
The Youngest is swift andwill chase you if you attempt to create distance, which works in your favor.
They may be weaker individually but can be troublesome if they’re both on the field. Your strategy here is toeither dodge or block her attacksand thenquickly move behind her for a backstab.
Keep in mind thatthe Eldest won’t leave you in peace, so keep an eye on him and be vigilant of his movements.
After a successful backstab, and if the Eldest is not near you,consider following up with a fully charged strike on the Youngest.
Typically,two backstabs should do the trick and get rid of her.
Once you’ve dealt with her, continue your battle with the Eldest in a standard manner,focusing on attacking only after he concludes his combos. Avoid getting too greedy, as he often chains multiple combos together without pause.
Mastering the Perfect Guard technique remains advantageous against him. However,maintaining distance or dodging to his left side can help you avoid more of his attacks.
Once you’ve whittled downabout half of the Eldest brother’s health, the second brother will enter the fray, and he can be quite bothersome with his spear attacks.
You can easilysidestep or dodge to either side to avoid his thrust attacks, but when he initiates his spinning attack, it’s wiser to block it or, even better, perform a Perfect Guard.
The same strategy applies to the Eccentric brother;your go-to move isaiming for backstabs, which will serve as your best bet throughout this entire confrontation.
The most effective time to execute a backstab isright after he completes his spear-swinging attack.
It’s important to emphasize that while dealing with the brothers one by one is advantageous,you must always keep an eye on the Eldest’s movements, as he can disrupt this flawless strategy at times. If he does,simply create some distance between them, and you should regain control for a brief period.
Similar to the Youngest,after successfully executing two backstabs, you should be able to dispose of the Eccentric and focus on dealing more damage to the Eldest.
Towards the last quarter of the Eldest brother’s health bar, the Battle Maniac will join the fight. The main concern here ishis use of the Puppet String to pull you closer, and it’s worth noting that he tends to stay near the Eldest.
The strategy remains consistent:sneak up behind himandexecute a backstab.
While some might find it relatively easy to backstab him, others might struggle due to his agility and difficulty in getting behind him. If you’re facing this challenge,you might have better luck employing Fable Arts.
Depending on your weapon,using a Fable combo can potentially inflict significant damage, making it an opportune moment to unleash them.
Now that you’ve successfully handled all the other brothers,it’s time to focus on defeating the Eldest.
By this point, you should have a good grasp of his attack patterns and how to counter them. As a solo enemy, you can treat the Eldest like any other elite foe.
Once you’ve defeated the Eldest, you’ll be rewarded with theResplendent Ergo Chunkandthe Taunt Gesture.
Some additional recommendations to consider during the boss fight arethe Flame Grindstoneon your Grinder andFlamberge Legion Arm, as Overheat can be quite effective.
When it comes to selecting your weapon,opt for something with swift attack patterns, as all the brothers are nimble, making heavy weapons less ideal.
