InPalia, there’s a variety of quests to complete. Some are given through receiving letters in the mail, NPCs visiting your housing plot or seeing an exclamation point, but a few of them are hidden, and you’ll have to discover them yourself via exploration. They may come about from fishing up an item or reading a book, so you’ll want to examine everything.
One such quest is Fishing For Answers, one you can discover once you reach Bahari Bay. We’ll show you exactly how to unlock Fishing For Answers, so you can complete it, learn more about the world of Palia, and receive some rare rewards.
How To Start Fishing For Answers
To find Fishing For Answers, you’ll need to make your way to theLighthouse in Bahari Bayandfind all the former Lighthouse Keeper’s diary entriesbefore it’s unlocked.
The Lighthouse sits on thetop of a cliff on the eastern edge of the Bay, directly east of the Pulsewater Plains stable point.
On the right side of the first floorwill be a table and chair set with a book on it.Interact with the book and read the diary entry,and you’ll be introduced to a character named Faadhil, the former Lighthouse Keeper.
Faadhil talks about Jabari, a man he loved greatly, leaving and how his pain led him to send messages out in bottles, hoping they would reach him.Reading this diary entry will unlock and start the questand progress you to the next step.
Where To Find Faadhil’s Letters
To find the letters,you’ll need to do some fishing, but only in a specific location.
Either gliding from the top of the Lighthouse or walking from down below,go to the docks directly beneath the Lighthouse.
Stand on thecurved right side of the dock, and fish into the oceanwithout any bait equipped. You’ll fish up three bottles containing Faadhil’s letters.Read each one, and the final letter will mention a spot that the two men used to share together, and your quest will update.
Fishing at the other sections of the dock will only give you regular fish, not the letters.
Where To Find The Lighthouse Keeper’s Secret Spot
Faadhil’s last letter will give you a hint about their secret spot, as he mentionsboth the aqueduct and the entire bay is visible from it.
Head north into the area on the mapmarked as Lighthouse Lagoon. You’ll be given a broad area to search, but the spot you need is going to beon top of a rock formation against the wall separating the two halves of Bahari Bay.
You can glide to it from the top of the Lighthouse oruse the rocks underneath the aqueduct to jump onto the left side of the rocksand climb up. At the top, you’ll find adirt pileon the other side of the tree.
Interact with it, and you’ll receive the last letter. This time, it’s from Jabari, and he tells Faadhil that he got all his letters, is coming to Akwinduu, and has left agift of apology.
You’ll get a Box of Chocolates, the Lighthouse Keeper’s ring (which is worth 300 Gold), and one rare Heartdrop Lily as a reward for finding the two lovers' story.
