Mileena Overview
Mileena is a character with plenty of fast moves, though she can be punished if the opponent blocks her attacks. Because of that, you’ll need toplay smart while catching your enemies off-guardto make the most of her fighting style.
You’ll have multiple projectiles to help you, thoughthey only go about halfway across the screen. Mileena also has a solid anti-air tool through her Air Ball, though you must jump and commit to it.

Mileena is a very committal character, so you can’t just throw out random moves if the opponent knows what they’re doing. Otherwise, they’ll block your attacks and punish you, leading to powerful combos.
Mileena has an all-around moveset, providing her with some moves to help her in various situations, such asteleporting away, dealing with enemies at mid-range, or comboing into launchersand using her excellent air combos. She struggles most against zoners.

Thanks to her moveset, she has somesimple solo combos that can easily do over 25 percentwith the potential to do even more if you put in the practice and learn her most challenging combos.
With that in mind,Mileena has some fast normals, but they don’t offer as much range as other characters, so look for openings in your opponent’s attacks before you strike.

Mileena Tips
Ultimately, youdon’t want to let people sit at the other side of the screenwhile you’re playing Mileena. You want to use your various moves to close the distance and stick to the opponent, leaving them guessing with your moves.
For instance, You can teleport to get in and throw off the enemy. You can alsouse your Sais to poke them from mid-range, making it a solid move against champions that want to get close or stay far away.
Mileena also has multiple moves you can enhance to give you an advantage. For instance, your enhanced Teleport Up can be a combo starter, since you can immediately go into an air combo or call a Kameo to keep them in the air.
Generally speaking, you’re able to’t play Mileena like you’re scared, or the enemy will poke you down or stick to you and prevent you from fighting back. Instead, you need to think about all your moves and try different approaches.
You can’t be predictable with Mileena, or your opponent will punish you. For instance, your Ball can be a great move against opponents, but if they block the move, you’ll face a long combo, unless you have the meter to burn to break free.
With that in mind,it doesn’t hurt to hold onto Mileena’s meter, so you can react to different situations to keep yourself alive or extend combos. There’s no need to spam it, though you should consider using your meter once you’re close to full, so you don’t waste it.
As a general rule,Mileena performs best when she keeps pressuring the opponent. On top of that, if you pressure them a ton and then back off and wait at mid-range, it can be a great mind game since your enemy may struggle to predict what you’ll do, so they could panic.
Mileena Kameo Tips
you’re able to take two approaches regarding Mileena’s Kameos: go with ranged attacks to add to your mix-up game or look into combo extendersto help you deal more damage.
For instance,Kano is an excellent choice, since he can help you deal with zoners by providing more attacks. Whether you want to use his back Kameo to throw out knives or neutral Kameo to shoot lasers, you have ranged attacks to deal with zoners.
you’re able to also use his forward Kameo as a great way to mix-up opponents by even delaying it when necessary. You can also go with other Kameos, likeKung Lao, who has multiple abilities to help you deal with the opponent.
If you plan to launch opponents, try out Jaxas a Kameo. Not only can he catch people with his forward Kameo, buthis neutral Kameo can give you more mix-up optionsby having an unblockable grounded move on your side.
Darrius is another great choice, since he has some hard hitting moves and plenty to choose from, giving you good mix-up options. You can use him to extend your combos or even end your combos with powerful moves, so experiment.
Many other Kameo fighters can work for Mileena, including Stryker, Sareena, and Sonya, so feel free to experiment and see who works for your playstyle.
