DMZ is one of the five featured game modes inCall of Duty: Warzone 2. It is an extraction-type game mode where you can freely roam around the map and complete various activities and contracts while fighting AI and other players.

X Marks The Spot isa part of the new Crown Faction missions, which were added to the game with season 4. The mission consists of elaborate puzzles at different locations in the Koschei Complex, which can confuse many players.
The Crown Faction missions are onlyavailable if you purchased Modern Warfare 2.

As straightforward as they look, unlocking the keypad-locked room within the Koschei Complex is fairly complicated.
To complete these objectives, youmust complete the following steps.
All these steps need elaborate explanations, which are given in the next sections.
How To Enter The Koschei Complex
TheKoschei Complex is a separate mapin Warzone 2 DMZ thatcannot be accessed through the matchmakingmenu. To deploy into Koschei Complex,enter the queue for Al Mazrahand deploy into the map.
Before you go to Koschei Complex, take some time tofind a set of jumper cables and a car battery; otherwise, you will not be able to enter the Alpha Cluster.
Entrance Points Locations For Koschei Complex
Four secret entrances on the maplead to the Koschei Complex. Whilethree locations aremarkedon the mapwith a question mark, thefourth location is hiddenwithin the Oasisregion on the northwest side of the map.
The remaining three entry points for the Koschei Complex are at the following locations.
Once you areat either of the entrancesfor the Koschei Complex,you will be transferred to the initial spawnlocation in the area.This area contains AI bots, which must be cleared to move on to the next section of the Koschei Complex.

How To Enter The Chemical Plant
TheR4D detector is inside the second sectionof the Koschei Complex, alsoknown as the Chemical Plant. After clearing the hostile NPCs at the initial spawn,you must solve a puzzleto access the entrance of the Chemical Plant.
Thefour different entrance pointsat Al Mazrahlead to four different spawn locations, which are:
You can encounter threedifferent puzzlesdepending on your entry point. Here is a brief overview of these puzzles.
Ensure that you and your friendshave Night Vision Goggles (NVGs)on youbefore entering the Chemical Plantbecause it will be pitch black inside. If you are lucky, you canfind one on the AI dead bodiesat the initial spawn.
Information Extraction And External Ops.
The puzzles inside Information Extraction and External Ops. are completely identical. Both locationslead you to another bunker doorwith an exposed electrical boardon the right side.
Upon interaction, the electrical board will prompt you with, “Something is missing here.” To fix the electrical board,find another set of jumper cables and a car batteryin the area andplace it on the circuit board.
This action willactivate the circuit, allowing you topress the button that opens the bunkerdoor. This door will then lead you into the Chemical Plant.
Do not use the jumper cables and batteryyou collected in Al Mazarah at this point. You will need them afterward.
Barracks
You will encounter thesecond puzzle inside the Barracks. Thisswimming puzzlerequires diving underwaterto get to the next bunker entrance.
Once you reach the partially submerged section of the spawn point,dive in and follow the red arrowsthat will lead your way. Although you can always catch your breath near the ceiling,the last stretch has no air pockets.
Ensure you remain on the right track and closely follow the arrows in this section.
Defence Research Division
The third puzzle at the Defense Research Divisionis the longest of the three. The Initial spawn pointleads you into three rooms with a gas leak and open doors.
Your job is to stop the gas leak and close the doors in each room.
Once you have cleared all the rooms, you will reach the bunker entrance to the Chemical Plant.
Be on thelookout for a loud audio cuethat plays after you have successfully cleared each room. You can use itto verify that you have done everything right.
How To Find The R4D Detector
Once you have entered the Chemical Plant,equip your NVGs and go to the two huts in the central partof the plant. Once you are there, search both cabins for the R4D detector.
Thedetector will be placed on a workbench insideone of these huts. If you do not find a detector in either of these buildings,another player may have taken itbefore you.
TheChemical Plant is a PVP (Player versus Player) area, so you will encounter other players looking for loot in this section.
How To Unlock The Alpha Cluster
After you have collected the R4D detector, it is time to unlock the Alpha Cluster. The Alpha Clusteris a locked area inside the Chemical Plantthat requires thesame trick you used in Information Extraction and External Ops.
This is where you will use the jumper cables and car battery that you carried so far. Inside the Chemical Plant,look for the same circuit board you saw beforein the Information Extraction and External Ops.
After you have located the circuit board,activate it using the jumper cables and battery. Thiswill open two separate entrances on either sideof the circuit that lead to the Alpha Cluster.

How To Locate And Open The Locked Room?
Inside the Alpha Cluster,keep exploring until you encounter a large open room. While clearing the second level of this room, you willfind a door guarded by two sentry guns.
TheAlpha Cluster is filled with hostile AI, sentry guns, and possibly other players, so take every step carefully.
Eliminate all hostile enemies hereand head on to the locked room.Aim your R4D detector at the keypadthat is securing the room.
Youwill see a secret code of three symbolswritten above the keypad. Remember these symbols and go back down.
Thecode on the wall changes every game, so a code that worked once may not work again.
How To Decrypt The Secret Code?
Look for three different blackboardsinside the large room anduse your R4D detector. Carefullylook for the symbols you saw earlieron the keypad.
Eachblackboard contains a symbol with an arrowthat points towards a number. Afterrecording these numbers, return to the keypad andenter the numbers in the exact orderas the symbols.
This will open the locked door, and you canretrieve the Koschei Complex map inside. All you need to do now isuse the exfil point inside the Alpha Clusterto exit the match with the Koschei Complex map safely.
