The beautiful world of Breath of the Wild was so great, Nintendo couldn’t help but use it twice, and to great effect. Of the many locales within Breath of the Wild, one of the most challenging was the Gerudo Desert, which ends up being even more fearsome inTears of the Kingdom.

Across a vast desert of extreme temperatures, giant monsters, and sandstorms, it can be pretty easy to lose your way, making the Treasure of the Gerudo Desert even more difficult to find. While the game gives you a great headstart, we’re here to guide you back on track.
How To Complete Treasure Of The Gerudo Desert
Though the elusive treasure hidden in the Gerudo desertcan be found whenever you want, the Treasure of the Gerudo Desert quest can only be activatedafterliberating Gerudo Town and Riju awakening as Sage. Speaking to her after completing the Regional Phenomena quest will give you this one, the sole guiding advice being the below riddle.
“Seek out the swordswoman upon the sand and look to where she points - there is treasure waiting underground.”

If you’ve been particularly observant during your time in the Gerudo Desert (or have played Breath of the Wild enough), you’ll knowthis refers to the many statues littered across the Gerudo Desert, swords pointed ahead of them.
Following the direction of their swords will bring you to more statues, each pointing their sword towards the treasure. However, the desert is easy to get lost in, making it hard to consistently follow them. The benefit is thatyou can start your journey from any of the statuesas they all point to the same destination.

Using the Hero’s Path mode or Travel Medallions can be a great way of tracking your progress in case you get lost.
Following along statue by statue will lead you through plenty of enemy camps and other mini-boss areas such as Moldugas, sobe prepared to fight or run around them.

Eventually, the statues will guide you tothe far north-western edge of the Gerudo Desert, just below the mountains of the Gerudo highlands. This area can be easily identified by thegiant set of leviathan bones positioned above it.
There will bea small hole with breakable rockshere in the centre of these ruins, so verify you’ve brought something explosive to gain access to theWest Gerudo Underground Ruins.
If you’re having trouble locating the entrance to the West Gerudo Underground Ruins, the exact coordinates are-4672,-1980,0024.
Once inside, you’ll be met with a room full of breakable rocks, enough to completely obscure your way forward. A good tactic here is tostick to the right sideand work your way forward any time you hit a wall until you eventuallyweave your way into the central chamber.
Breaking the rocks will dropRusty Claymoresand rocks to make more crushing weapons. Riju’s lightning and Yunobo’s charge are a great help here, too
After enough rock-crushing to make any Goron proud, you’ll find yourself in the central chamber, a chest awaiting you. It contains theVah Naboris Divine Helmthat belonged to the Champion Urbosa from Breath of the Wild.It offers shock resistance, which isn’t quite as nice as the lightning-proof qualities of Riju’s helmet from Breath of the Wild, but it does look great.
