How To Find Treasure Maps

Similar to moonstones,treasure maps spawn on the surface of the islandsthroughout your world. They do not glow at night, but they are much easier to see than moonstones during the day.

Explore the islands and watch for abeige rectangle with a red Xon it.Multiple maps can spawnon an island, andnot all islandswill have a map.

How To Follow Treasure Maps

Once you collect a treasure map, use it to see anaerial view of the islandyou should be searching for. The island indicated willnever be the same islandwhere you found the map.

There will be asmall, red Xsomewhere on the map, indicatingwhere the treasure will be buried.

If you have done a decent amount of exploration in your world, use yourfull-size mapto look for theisland matching the view on your map. If you do not see it, continue exploring your world and revisit the map when you have discovered more islands.

How To Find Buried Treasure

Once you land on the correct island,move to the area with the Xon the map.

Pay close attention to the detailed features of the image on your map.Changes in elevation, water features, stairs, detached partner islands, and decorative flowerswill be indicated and can be used to narrow down the exact location of the X.

When you are ready to start digging,use your hoeas if you are preparing farmland. If you dig the correct spot,a chest will appearand behave similarly to the chests in dungeons.
