In Annapurna Interactive’sStoryteller, you must build storiesfrom scenes and characters that are inspired by prompts. It’s a neat little puzzle game where the characters can all react with each other in cool ways and you get to feel smart when you’ve figured something out!

If you’re interested in spending a little time with this game, there are a bunch of achievements to earn. Many of them act like extra bonus prompts on top of the ones already in the game. We’ve provided full solutions below, but you may only want to know in which chapter they’re located so that you’re able to try it out yourself. Either way, you’ll find everything you need below.

Storyteller - screenshot of the mischief crown ceremony, uncompleted

Storyteller got a major update on July 15, 2025. At that time, a lot of the Steam achievements were removed. They haven’t actually disappeared, they’re just now found in-game (called stamps, now) instead of on Steam. You’ll still need to do them to get all the Steam achievements anyway.

Worth It

Hint:Play for more than two hours

Worth It is a straightforward achievement: invest at least two hours of time into Storyteller! That being said, you don’t have to play for two hours straight, just spend a total of two hours playing the game. Only time spent playing after June 10, 2025, will count towards this achievement, though.

Silence

Hint:Make Zypce sad

Zypce is the game’s sound designer and composer. In order to earn this achievement, you need to go into your game setting and turn off the music and/or the narrator (people have had varied success with one or the other, the safest route is to just turn off both). Then, start a new level. You should earn the achievement!

The Crown

Hint:Get the crown

The Crown achievement is also simple; it’s the goal of the basic levels. Once you complete the basic levels (including a few bonus prompts on some levels), you’ll have the Crown Ceremony and be awarded a golden - you guessed it - crown!

Mischief

Hint:All devil levels

Once you complete the previous achievement and earn the crown, you’ll be awarded with a new special character: the Devil! He can interact with the scenes and characters in chaotic, destructive ways.

If you go back into the chapters, you’ll find that there’s been a change to one prompt in each. you may identify the altered prompt because it has a new star symbol beside it. Once you complete all 10 new prompts with the Devil, you’ll earn the second crown and get this achievement.

Collector

Hint:All stamps

As we mentioned, a lot of the achievements that were previously available in Steam have been migrated to your Stamp Collection within the game. There are also some stamps that are brand new. To earn the Collector achievement, you’ll need to complete them all.

Unfortunately, if you earned them as Steam Achievements before Aug 02, 2025, the stamp isn’t auto-completed. You need to go back and do them again.

In-Game Stamps

Due to the nature of the game, there are multiple solutions to the prompts listed below. These are the easiest and/or the ones we were able to find.

Hint:Original story by Shakespeare

Prompt

2: Double Poison

Edgar and Lenora feature as our tragic lovers in this tale of woe. One must die, but be revived too late because their partner has already killed themselves out of grief. Then, the revived partner also takes their own life.

Hint:Original story by Goethe

1: Poison

The story by Goethe might include a few extra steps, but you can get the basic message across in the fourth chapter, the first prompt. Marry Lenora and Bernard, then have Lenora reject Edgar. Edgar must, sadly, commit suicide.

Hint:Isobel laughs at a tombstone

4: Grief (The Devil)

You must have access to the Devil to get this stamp.

After Edgar is tricked into thinking his wife is dead, he remarries. His two wives learn about each other, and then Isobel finds macabre amusement in Edgar’s death. This is only one frame longer than the Shocked Wives stamp.

Hint:Lenora falls asleep

4: Envy

In this story, Edgar is murdered by a jealous Isobel and, after his death, Lenora drinks herself into a stupor.

Hint:Young dog old man meets, Young man old dog keeps

Storyteller - screenshot showing how to get the Batrachian Affair stamp/achievement

4: Aging

Everyone loves a dog story, and this one is pretty touching. Due to some time passing and revival shenanigans, Edgar meets the dog as an old man, is revived after his death and, as a young man, meets the old dog.

This one isn’t as complicated as it sounds. Just put the Time scene with the hourglass in every panel; it’ll break in the final one.

3: Duplicity (The Devil)

By completing this stamp, the witch gets a taste of her own medicine. After cursing the Prince to live as a frog, she soon finds herself turned into a frog. Thankfully, the two frogs smooch and make up.

Hint:Witch removes curse from Prince

3: Duplicity

The Witch uses a little trickery in this story to get her kiss from the Prince. This story is only one panel shorter than the Batrachian Affair stamp story; without the Devil, everything takes a different turn.

Hint:Heart breaks during shipwreck

The Devil causes a tragedy here by drowning the Prince before he can kiss the Witch, who is head-over-heels in love with him. It’s also a solution to the Devil prompt on this page.

Hint:Accepting that martini

3: Revenge

Usually, if the Butler returns with a martini for the Duchess, she just asks for a different drink. However, if she thinks he has the gun, she’ll accept what he gives her.

Hint:Mutual ghost haunt

1: Rivals

You just need two ghosts to spook each other to complete this stamp. Step one: the Baron kills the Knight. Step 2: the ghost of the Knight kills the Baron. You’ll get the achievement in the third panel when the ghosts interact.

4: Matriarch

The Baron will do anything for that crown. Just because the Baron murders the Queen doesn’t mean he’ll be the first to reach the throne. If the Knight is crowned first, the Baron will marry the Knight just to be King by his side.

Hint:Queen and Knight ghost love

3: Purge

For this one, the challenge is really finding the prompt where the Queen can fall in love with the Knight, but they can also both be executed by something. In this case, it’s the King when he realizes they’re having an affair

Hint:Queen marries maid

5: Machiavelli

To get the Queen and Maid to marry, the King has to die, and the Queen needs to fall in love with the Maid - for example, because she rescued her!

Hint:King and Queen catch each other having an affair

4: Love Revolution

The puzzle to solve here is how to make the Queen fall in love with the Knight so that the King will oversee the pair of them having an affair. Well, have the Knight rescue her, of course!

Hint:Queen marries dragon

5: Suitor

There’s no love quite like unconventional love.To convince the Queen to marry the Dragon, it must save her from the evil clutches of the Baron.

Hint:Adam and Eve get indigested

3: Repentance

To get this stamp, just repeat Adam and Eve tempting each other with the apple until they start to feel sick.

Hint:Pierced fruit

4: Vengeance

Friedrich and Eve can fall in love in the last prompt of the tenth chapter, so you’ll need to get him to hate and shoot the apple.

Hint:Snake laughs at Adam and Eve

To get this stamp, smite both Adam and Eve for eating the apple, then have the snake look upon both corpses.

Hint:Two statues of ash

This is also a relatively simple one; you just need to smite both Adam and Eve, then have Judgment look upon their bodies. It’s pretty similar to the Evil Triumphs stamp

Hint:Howling at the moon

1: Werewolf

Bernard will howl at the moon so long as he’s not actively transforming in the moon scene.

Hint:Dragon gets arrested

3: Dragon

The Dragon is arrested for its crimes against the Detectives' nerves.

4: Vampire

He’s soft on the inside. To get the Professor to cry, show him the dead body of someone he cared about who has been turned into a vampire and then staked.

4: Deceit

To get the Mirror to sing Tiny’s praises, you need to basically exclude everyone else from the equation.

Hint:Affair with cousin

4: Salome

This stamp is just a matter of setting up enough family bonds to make cousins have an affair (weird request, we know).

This is a long story, a bit convoluted, but it makes sense. Basically, the Queen kidnaps the maid, who is rescued by the King, who in turn kidnaps the Queen. The Queen is rescued by the Knight, who kidnaps the King, who is rescued by the maid. The maid kills the Knight because he kidnapped the King.

Hint:Terrified ghost

This one is pretty easy, actually, and can really be accomplished on any prompt where a character can die and the Devil appears. Have the character die, then introduce their ghost to the Devil in any scene.

6: Last Straw

To make the Devil angry, he needs to imprison someone and then discover they’re not there anymore. Note that it’s not enough for him to see them in a different scene; he needs to see the empty cage.

Hint:Eve yells at Adam

In this story, Eve is mad at Adam for giving her the Apple.

Hint:Ghost is vaporized

2: Tragedy (The Devil)

It sounds crazy, but you actually can bust a ghost in Storyteller, through some Devilish (get it?) shenanigans. Basically, Edgar drinks what he thinks is poison, only to accidentally shred his beloved’s ghost.

Hint:Lenora and Isobel realize they share their husband

4: Grief (Devil)

After Edgar is tricked into thinking his wife is dead, he remarries. Unfortunately, his wives have a stunned interaction in the chapel. This is only one frame shorter than the Macabre stamp.
