Warhammer 40,000: Darktidehas several currencies to keep track of, and most are available through the normal course of gameplay. The exception are Aquilas, the game’s premium currency. You won’t find Aquilas lying around the map like Plasteel or Diamantine, and you won’t receive any as mission rewards either.
Instead, Aquilas have to be purchased with real money, and can then be exchanged for cosmetics that you can’t get anywhere else. If you want your Operative to stand out among the faceless minions of the Inquisition, spending Aquilas is the way to make it happen.

Aquilas can be purchased fromThe Commodore’s Vestures, a shop in the main hub on board the Mourningstar. It’s a small counter across from the Commissary; look for arectangular icon with the Imperial symbol.Once you’re inside the shop screen, click theGet Aquilasbutton in the upper-right corner.
Like most games with a premium currency, you’ll getmore value from purchasing larger packages of Aquilas.For example, the standard exchange rate is 1000 Aquilas for $5 US, but if you buy the $20 package you’ll get 4500 Aquilas, essentially getting 500 Aquilas for free.
What Can You Buy With Aquilas?
Aquilas are used to buyunique cosmeticsfrom the Commodore’s Vestures, making it a one-stop shop for acquiring and spending them. The vendor’s stock rotates regularly, and you can getsingle itemsorentire outfits. These cosmetics are even divided up by class, so you can shop for your other characters on the same account without having to switch Operatives.
Cosmetics haveno in-game effect. They’re entirely optional, and exist purely to give your character a new look.
Typically, smaller items and weapon skills cost 300-400 Aquilas, head accessories cost 700-900 Aquilas, and full costumes cost 2100-2400 Aquilas. This means that youdon’t need to break the bankto give your Operative a unique appearance!
