Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscurewill have you battling the new mysterious threat of the Kryptis, demons that seem to feed on the emotions of their victims. As you aid the Astral Ward and the Wizard Tower, you’ll train across two maps in a variety of useful abilities, like Skyscale riding or Rift Hunting.

In the second map of Secrets of the Obscure. Amnytas, there are nine Mastery Insights to find and unlock. Due to the high amounts of vertical space that must be traversed for most of these Insights, you’ll want to have a Skyscale unlocked before you attempt to reach them. Below, we’ll take a look at how to get each of the Mastery Insights in Amnytas.
Balanced Perspective Insight
From theBastion of Balance Waypoint, head out of the cave and use anUpdraftto get to the area above. Then,follow the path westthrough theHarmony Green Point of Interest, and ascend both levels of the walls towardLhyr’s Tower. Here, use theUpdrafts surrounding the southern side of the towerto reach the top, where the Balanced Perspective Mastery Insight is found.
Bastion Shallows Insight
There are two quick ways to get to this Insight. Either goup and around the wall to the westof theBastion of the Natural Waypoint, or gosouth a short distanceand getunderneath the Waypoint, to theUnderways Point of Interest. From there, drop into thecave below, where the Insight can be found slightly underwater.
Caveside Lookout Insight
Starting from theBastion of Strength Waypoint, headnorthwesttoward theCrystalpool Point of Interest, using yourSkyscaleto fly across the gap. The Mastery Insight can be foundinside the cave.
Alternatively, you can gonorth then west through the Bastion of Strengthoperations camp and toward theSpellcrafting Worshop Point of Interest. Here, gosouth into the altar room, then use aSpringerorSkyscaleto get over the wall.Glide down to the Insightin the cave below.
Celestial Pilaster Insight
From theBastion of the Celestial Waypoint, headleft or rightaround thering of the World Spireto the southern area, by theCelestial Control Ring Point of Interest. Then, simply use aSpringerorSkyscaleto climb up the walls to the top, where this Mastery Insight is found.
Obscured By The Clouds Insight
From theBastion of the Obscure Waypoint, headnorththeneastthrough the Bastion.Ride the Leylineto the area above into theCartography Chamber, or use aSkyscaleto climb the wall. From here, use yourSkyscaletoclimb up the tower, using any nearbyUpdraftsfor an easier time. The Insight is at the top of the tower.
The Arboretum Insight
From theBastion of the Natural Waypoint, turn to therightand use your Skyscale toascend up the side of the wallto the upper level of the area. Then,climb Vass’s Towerto the top, where the Mastery Insight is located.
The Debate Hall Insight
The Debate Hall Insight can only be reached when the door to theGreat Debate Hallis unlocked. This occurs through theGroup Event “Escort Lyhr to the Great Hall so he can rebalance himself”.
This event occurs at theBastion of Balance Waypoint, andrequires at least five peopleto gather near Lyhr before he sets out. Once the event starts, simplyfollow alonguntil you reach the Great Debate Hall, thenglide down to the level belowto find the Mastery Insight.
The Plaza Of Wisdom Insight
From theBastion of Knowledge Waypoint, head to thelevel aboveusing aSpringerorSkyscale, then head to thecorner of the square building, just above theCeller of Arcana Point of Interest.
From here, find the firstUpdraftlocated to the southwest, then follow the series of them around thesouth and to the eastin a spiral to reach thetop of Isgarren’s Towerand reach the Mastery Insight.
For a simpler method, start at theBastion of the Celestial Waypointin the center of the map, head to the Astronomic Nexus Ring, then use yourglider, Skyscale, or Griffonto flysoutheastto the Insight.
Windy Bluff Insight
From theBastion of Strength Waypoint, headnorthandnorthwestthrough the camp, traveling along theupper level of the areauntil you are across fromMabon’s Tower. Use yourSkyscaleto fly over to it andclimb up the towerusing theWall Launch Mastery. The Mastery Insight is at the top of this tower.
There are also severalUpdrafts in the vicinityyou can use to make getting to Mabon’s Tower easier.
