Secrets are never-ending inBaldur’s Gate 3.There are some areas in the game that just puzzle you until you can come back to them. One of those areas is probably the Enclave Library in Druid Grove. This library is found through the back door of Nettie’s healing room.
There is clearly a puzzle at play. Runes on pedestals that can be lit up, strange books everywhere… There is a secret in the library, but how do you get to it? The answer is not so straightforward and requires some work. You will have to find a certain rune…
How To Get The Wolf Rune
There is arune missing from a pedestal within the library. It is not hidden anywhere outisde in Druid Grove, the Wolf Rune is inside someone’s pockets.Rath keeps the Wolf Runeclose to him at all times.
Rath is Kagha’s second in command, the one who wasdefending Arabelleas best he could before you showed up.
There are different ways to go about retrieving the Wolf Rune.You could kill Rathand loot his body. Killing Rath means initiating a fight with all the Druids in the grove. Attacking the Druids mean the Druids will attack the Tieflings.
You could alsopickpocket Rathusing your best Rogue (or Rogueish!) character with high Stealth. Rath is usually sitting on a stool, facing one way.
You will only have to worry aboutSilver(the wolf) and/orKagha’sline of sight.
The safest option that will avoid any unnecessary confrontation is to just wait. Wait until you have rescued Halsin and killed the Goblin leaders. After saving the grove, you can return to Rath, andhe will reward you with the Wolf Rune.
What Is Inside The Secret Vault?
After receiving the Wolf Rune one way or another, all you have to do is interact with the empty pedestal. A crafting menu will pop up, and you may take the rune from your inventory and place it into the empty box.Select ‘Combine’to place the rune.
Once the Wolf Rune is placed, walk around andinteract with each rune so that they all light up. Once all runes are lit, the wolf statue will lower, and stairs will appear in the middle of the room.

On the center table, you will find a rare weapon,Sorrow.Sorrow is a Martial two-handed weaponthat comes with the Ensnaring Strike spell. When dealing damage with Sorrow, the user willalsotake a point of Psychic damage each time. Sorrowsells for 380 Gold.
You can also find theRobe Of Summerarmor. It is Uncommon andcan be sold for 250 Gold, and also provides resistance against Cold damage.
