What Is Loviatar’s Love

This buff grants you a+2 toAttack RollsandSaving Throwsfor three turns, when youdrop below 30 percent health.

Due to the bounded accuracy system of Baldur’s Gate 3,a +2 bonus is immense. Give this buff to a frontliner, such as a fighter or barbarian, and watch them get stronger the more they’re hit.

Unfortunately, you willlose this buff if your character dies. This meansfully dying—not just going into a downed state, but also failing all three death saving throws.

How To Get Loviatar’s Love

Abdirak, the NPC responsible for granting you this buff, can be foundin the Bloodied Shrine, within the Shattered Sanctum

The Shattered Sanctum can befound near the Goblin Camp waypoint (X:-74, Y:446), past a doorway guarded by an ogre.

If you’re infiltrating the camp as a True Soul, the ogre—nor any of the goblins—will attack you unless you anger them.

Once in the Shattered Sanctum, continue into the main halluntil you see Priestess Gut branding goblins in front of an altar. From here,go up some stairs to the rightto find the Bloodied Shrine, a small room.

The Bloodied Shrine is between the room whereVolo is being kept prisoner, and the roomwhere Liam is being tortured on the rack.

Speak to Abdirak, who will explain that he is a priest of Loviatar, the goddess of pain. He will ask you to go through a series of flagellations—you’ll need to accept his offer to gain this buff.

Once you’ve accepted, stand in front of the wall, andAbdirak will begin to hit you. Pass a series of three rolls (you’ll be able to choose fromIntimidation, Performance, or Constitution), after which you’ll receive this buff.

You’ll only be able toreceive this buff on one character,so be careful of who you send to speak to Abdirak first. Make sure that they have enough health, too—there’s nothing more embarrassing than passing out in the middle of Abdirak’s test.
