Lords Of The Fallenoffers a fresh take on the soulslike genre by introducing the ability to switch between two realms: Axiom and Umbral. However, this also means that the challenge is quite substantial. In both realms, enemies hit hard, and you’ll undoubtedly take a lot of damage as you progress. That’s where Sanguinarix comes into play.
Sanguinarix serves as your primary healing tool in the game. Initially, you begin with just three Sanguinarix, and their healing effectiveness isn’t particularly impressive. However, you can enhance not only their effectiveness but also the number of uses by locating a specific item.
How To Upgrade The Sanguinarix
Your initial step is to progress through the gameuntil you encounter the first main bossknown asPieta, She of Blessed Renewal.
This boss can be quite challenging, serving as a prime example of what to expect from the game.
Pieta presentsa two-phase boss battlewithnumerous attacks.
You’ll need to study her attack patterns andonly strike when an opening arises. However, exercise caution when she unleashesher Radiant sword laser attack.
After successfully defeating Pieta, you can proceed byentering a door located in the far-left corner of the boss area, which leads toSkyrest Bridge. Here, you’ll be greeted byExacter Dunmire, who will acquaint you with the place and your role as a lampbearer.
Following a cutscene, you’ll noticea Vestige in front of you. You’ll also encounterPieta, the same boss you battled earlier, but now as an NPC.
Pieta serves as the one who can enhance your Sanguinarix, but you’ll need to provide her withSaintly Quintessenceto do so.
Saintly Quintessence serves asan upgrade material for your Sanguinarixand can be found throughout the open world,often hidden in the Umbral realm.
This valuable item aids inenhancing the healing effectiveness of your Sanguinarix and increasing the number of times you can use it.
Each upgrade begins with the use of one Saintly Quintessence butgradually demands two or moreas you continue upgrading it.
Once you’ve obtained Saintly Quintessence,return to Skyrest and interact with Pieta. Select the option to “Upgrade Sanguinarix.”
In the subsequent menu prompt, you’ll seehow many Saintly Quintessence you need, as well asthe bonus to healing effectivenessand theincrease in the number of charges it provides.
