While there are several factions to join inStarfield, one of the earliest ones is the UC Vanguard. This offers the benefits of camaraderie, new quests, potential citizenship, and other rewards. However, after joining the UC Vanguard, you met Hadrian and uncovered a terrifying sample on your mission.
Continuing to learn more about the sample is your goal, and to do that, you’ll need to find Dr. Percival Walker. The problem is that he’s not exactly available, and finding another specialist is out of the question. You’ll have to find a way to reach him to learn more about the Terrormorph sample.

Head to CydoniaonMarsto ask about Dr. Percival Walker’s location. You’ll need togo to the Trade Authorityto get any information.
Speak to Oktai Enbayarto learn thatWalker has been missingfor quite some time and hasaccumulated a good deal of debt.
While he doesn’t offer much else that can help, make your way down tothe Sixth Circle barto ask around.
How To Pay Percival’s Debt
You’ll be met with a frosting greeting, as the Red Devils are a tight-knit pack of miners that are hiding Percival Walker.Talk to the bartender, Lou, to learn that youwon’t find Walker until the debt is paid.
Thankfully, there are several ways you may pay off the debt.
How To Pay The Debt Yourself
The most direct way to handle things is topay off the debtyourself.Return to Oktai Enbayarto discuss the payment.
Paying the debt yourself willcost 21,867 creditsexactly, and you’ll have to pay in full. If you don’t have the funds, you may work for them.
How To Hack The Computer
Alternatively, as Lou tells you, he’d be happy to pay off a reasonable debt. That can be done byhacking into the Trade Authority computerand reducing the total to a much smaller number.
You’ll either need tosteal the keyfrom Oktai orpick the lockto access the computer room above. From there, you canoverride the account totalto a few hundred credits instead.
Another option to pay the debt takes a lot longer, but it’s well worth the effort.Cambridge Cooper will call you overafter talking to Lou andoffer a better dealfor everyone.
All you have to do iseliminate some Spacers, finish some research, and deliver it to the Trade Authorityto pay off the debt. Sounds simple enough, and the rewards are pretty good, too.
Head on out to the Deep Mines and clear the facility of Spacers. You’ll have to wind your way down through the mines toeliminate them alland reach the research lab. There areseveral layers to work through, and it will take a bit of time.
Once you do,interact with the intercomso that Cambridge can give you instructions on how to complete the research.
How To Finish The Research
To finish the research, you’ll need to do the following:
You’ll need theuse Ares2330 as the passcode. Once the data is ready,take the keyfrom the thresher room toactivate the elevator.
Meet back at the Sixth Circleto collect all the research before taking it to Oktai Enbayar. He’s all too excited to wipe away the debt for the promise of the research.
you may convince Oktai to give you extra credits on the side, too.
How To Find Percival
Once you’ve paid off the debt,return to Lou. He’ll tell you that Percival’s beenhiding down in the Deep Minesand give you the key to access the way.
Make for the Deep Mines and work your way down to the lab. If you helped Cambridge Cooper earlier, this will be a quick trip. Otherwise,be prepared to fight off Spacerson the way down.
Once you reach the lab, use the key from Lou toaccess the Drill Waste Roomand progress deeper into the mines.
Make sure to grab any Aqueous Hematite on the way down if you want to stock up on resources.
You’ll find Percival holed up at a massive underground base,waiting for youjust outside.Give him the Terrormorph sampleto examine, and he’ll find some rather concerning markers in it.
Take Percival to meet Hadrianat the Sixth Circle to discuss your findings.
Meet Hadrian At The Sixth Circle
Make your way back to Cydoniaand meet Hadrian outside the bar. She’ll usher you all into a private back room to discuss what happened.
After your discussion, you’ll come to the conclusion that youneed access to the Armistice Archivesto go over the research done on Terrormorphs. For now, though, this quest is over, and you canbegin the next chapterin the UC Vanguard line.
