Disney Dreamlight Valleyhas a robust cooking system with over 100 different recipes for you to make. Some are real-world food items, like Waffles and Margherita Pizza, and some are Disney-universe ones inspired by the real world, like Pickled Arendellian Herring.

Most ingredients in the game can be found via farming, foraging, and fishing, but a handful can be purchased specifically at Remy’s restaurant Chez Remy after unlocking them. Here’s how to unlock the ingredient Slush Ice and make it available to buy in his restaurant.
How To Unlock The Unknown Flavor
to unlock Slush Ice, you need topartially complete the quest The Unknown Flavor. This quest becomes available after reaching maximum friendship with Remy, as well as having unlocked Wall-E, and the Sunlit Plateau, Frosted Heights, and Dazzling Beach biomes.
Once the requirements are met, ask Remy to unlock The Unknown Flavor. He tells you that he vaguely remembers a sweet, magical dessert and wants to recreate it. Since magic is involved, he’ll mention going to Merlin.
Speak With Merlin
Locate Merlin on the map andspeak with him. He’ll mention Elsa to you, then suggest looking in his study for notes.Go inside his home, and you’ll see a portion of his bookshelf glowing.
Interact with it, and you’ll receive a note. Pick it up, and then you’ll need to gatherthree Purified Night Shards.
These can be created bycombining five Night Shards and one Dream Shardat any crafting bench.After you’ve crafted them, you’ll need someone to turn them into powder.
How To Complete The Recipe
to get the powder,you’ll need Wall-E, so find him on the map and speak to him. You’ll automatically be prompted to hand the Purified Night Shards over, and he’ll grind them up into the powder. Now you’ll need to complete the recipe by finding 15 Snowballs.
Snowballs can be found whenmining the large or small ice crystal clusters(two per small and four per large) or randomly whendigging in regular ground in Frosted Heights.Collect the 15 Snowballs to get the next quest step.
How To Obtain The Slush Ice
Once the quest updates, find a crafting bench. Ice Slush will be located under theFunctional Items tab, and you can make exactly one of them. Craft the Ice Slush, then bring it back to Remy. He’ll take the Slush Ice and then give you the recipe he was trying to remember:
Vanilla Ice Cream. To cook it, you’ll needone Slush Ice, one Milk, one Sugarcane, and one Vanilla.
After you get the recipe from him, you may either finish the quest or save it for later, and Slush Ice will now beavailable for purchase at Chez Remy for 150 Star Coins.
