How To Get Tessellation
Currently, the only method to acquire Tessellation is via thepre-order bonus from Destiny 2: The Final Shape.
Despite the restricted access to the weapon, the fun factor that comes along with using it does make for an incredibly satisfying gun, regardless of the subclass you pair with it.
How To Preorder The Final Shape
The easiest way to get to the preorder screenfor your platform is via the Destiny 2 Director.
Head to the Director and navigate over to the small node hoveringbelow the Crucible and Legends icon.
Once you tap “Pre-Order Now,” you’ll be redirected to your platform’s store and prompted to complete the purchase.
The purchase is usually not charged to your payment method untilwithin a week of the DLC’s release.
Now that you have your fancy new Tessellation in hand, it’s time to take this beauty out for a spin.
But how do you make the most of Tessellation’s unique traits?
Firstly, take note of the two “properties” that Tessellation possesses:Undecidable and Irreducible.
At its core,Undecidableis designed to be used with your class setup of choice, allowing you to switch Tessellation’s function to fit your needs.
One of the best mod pairingsfor Tessellation isFirepower, which will generate Orbs of Power upon grenade final blows.
This opens the door to a variety of further combinations that branch out of Orb pickups.
Void Warlock, Solar Warlock, Void Hunter, Arc Hunter, and any of the Strandsubclasses all have potent grenade-focused builds that will help create orbs or power, regenerate HP, and more, depending on your needs.
Irreducibleallows you toswitch the focus of your build to Tessellation itselfif you would prefer to focus on ad-clear rather than trigger orb creation, or other abilities.
Once you havefull grenade energy, hold the Reload (aka Alternate Action) buttonto activate the Irreducible Trait.
Charge up your next fusion rifle shot as normal and prepare to witness destruction in the form of a massive blast of energy matching your subclass.
You should use this against crowds of enemiesto make the most of the blast’s destructive properties.
You can alternativelypivot to a decent DPS (Damage Per Second) roleif you defeat lesser enemies to charge your grenade energy and instead release the elemental explosion on a larger enemy.
The damage from the elemental explosion is fairly noticeable, soyou will findthe most success in content with plenty of enemiesto farm for grenade energy.
