The main story ofStarfieldwill take you all around the galaxy. Searching for the Artifacts may be your main goal, but it isn’t always an easy feat. Retrieving the Artifact on Neon led to a tense interaction with a new enemy.

While the members of Constellation discuss what to do about the Starborn, Vladimir has some new leads for you to follow. After completing the “Starborn” quest, you’ll move on to “Further Into The Unknown,” and you’ll need to follow Artifact leads to both the Tau Ceti System and the planet Magreth.

Travel To Tau Ceti

There isan Artifact on Tau Ceti VIII-dthat you will need to track down. This moon orbits the planet designatedTau Ceti VIII in theTau Ceti System. Grav jump here, and you’ll want to touch down atthe Abandoned Cryo Lab location.

Upon reaching the lab, you’ll be greeted by a fewlow-level Ecliptic enemiesaround the exterior of the building. After taking them out, make your waydown into the frozen underground facility.

Get Artifact Theta In The Abandoned Cryo Lab

The first main junction you’ll get to inside will have you seea vent on your left, ora hallway on your right. If you go down to the right, you’ll finda scientist’s corpse with health itemsaround it.

When you return to the vent and continue on, you’lloverlook a room with more Ecliptic enemiespatrolling around. You’ll need toengage in a fight to get through. Some are low-level grunts, but you’ll also encounterEcliptic Mercs and some Ecliptics with extra armor.

There arecylindrical gas containersin this room that, if shot, willexplode out in ice crystals. Use these to your advantage if one of the Ecliptics stands by them.

As you continue through the next hallway, you’ll find another vent anda small closet with some more itemsthat you can pick up. Eventually, you will reacha cafeteria area.

When you go past here into the next room, you’ll seea couple secure access doorswhich require a Cryogen Research Lab Key to unlock. You’ll be able to find anitem that can help you enter these rooms furtherin the facility.

Throughout the Abandoned Cryo Lab, you will alsoencounter multiple Ecliptic enemies to fight in various rooms. Keep your eyes peeled.

As you continue exploring the hallways, you’ll reacha closed door next to an open elevator shaft.Both ways will take you into a large multi-level underground room. Reach the other side of the room, and you’ll find yourself ina stairwell that you can head down to continue on.

However, if youmake your way up the stairwell, you’ll reacha collapsed section of the stairs. Jump andboost pack across, and you’ll find a frozen worker witha Cryogen Utility Key, and a data slate titled, “Final Report.”

ThisCryogen Utility Keycan help youoverride the security for the secure access doorsyou saw earlier. On your way out,lockpick the doorsto access rooms with severaluseful items such as positron batteries and drilling rigs.

Going deeper into the underground lab will eventuallytake you to rocky tunnelsthat should be familiar to you at this point in your journey. You’ll eventually see the familiargravitational anomalies and Caelumitethat give away the presence of an Artifact.

Fight The Starborn For Artifact Theta

Unfortunately, one of theStarbornhas followed you to this Artifact, andwill ambush youeither before or after you cut it out of the Caelumite deposit.

The Starborn is level 30, and will be wearingcloaking armor. At times, it will go nearly invisible, but you’ll be able to tell where they are byvisual distortions in the form of a body.

Shotguns can be especially effectiveat close range against the Starborn.

Defeat the Starborn, cut out Artifact Theta, and thenretrace your steps back out of the cryo lab. Make sure to stop at any rooms on the way out to pick up extra crafting and sellable materials.

While you are in this System, you’ll learn that there is a scanner anomaly that will point you to Tau Ceti VIII-b.Temple Thetais on this moon, and you canhead to this temple to pick up a new power.

Travel To Magreth

Another lead on an Artifact will take you to the barren planetMagreth in theNarion System. After reaching the planet, you’ll be directed totouch down at Hillside Cave. You’ll need to travel a bit to reach the cave from your landing point.

Get Artifact Tau From The Hillside Cave

When youenter the Hillside Cave, it will be nearly abandoned by enemies. There will beseveral Turret MK1s throughout the cave, however. Keep an eye out for thered laser sights that will clue you into the direction of the turrets.

There is alsoa contraband cache in the upper levelsof the cave. It hasa Master-level lockthat you would need to hack to get the goods inside.

There are several tunnels and paths through the cave, and you might evenreach an exit to the cave without finding the Artifact. You want tolook for a triangle-shaped pathin the cave to go through.

Once you get through this,look down to the right, and you’ll seean open area where you can jump down. The path here will take you right to the Artifact.

Fight The Starborn For Artifact Tau

After reaching the Artifact in Hillside Cave,you will once again get ambushed by a level 30 Starborn. Look forvisual distortions when they go invisible to track them down. Use your weapon of choice to take them out, and retrieve the Artifact from the cave.

Return The Artifacts To Constellation

Once all is said and done, you’ll want totake your two new Artifacts back toAlpha Centauri. As youadd the Artifacts to your collection, you’ll get to hear some new thoughts from different members of Constellation.

Vladimir will want to talk to you next,ending the “Further Into The Unknown” quest, and beginning the next main quest,“Short Sighted.“Yourrewardsfor completing “Further Into The Unknown” areexperience points, three Amps, and 9000 credits.
