It’s a very useful firearm, especially in the area you find it, and with the right elemental build, you can do a lot of damage with this heat-throwing hand cannon. Unlike other guns in the game that require crafting, this one can be picked up and played with as soon as you find it. So to help you get your hands on it, here’s how to get the Hellfire Flamethrower in Remnant 2.
Where Is The Hellfire Flamethrower?
First things first, if you’re just starting the game or have yet to clearLosomn, N’Erud, and Yaesha, then you’re probably not going to see this weapon for quite a while. It’s only available after you clear all three worlds as doing so unlocks the Root Earth in the campaign story.
Thistwisted tree-covered hellscapeis a pretty nasty area filled with all sorts of screeching and mutated Root Monsters. Thankfully the Hellfire Flamethrower, even at its base stats, can pull a lot of weight here. It’s found within the first big open area of the zone right after you enter it.

There’s acrater roughly near the middleof this big flat area with a truck inside it,underneath that is the weapon, but you’ll need to do a bit of exploring to get down to it.
How To Get The Hellfire Flamethrower
Thankfully unlike some of the otherpuzzles and long-winded side-activitiesin the game, this one is pretty short and will take you at mostone or two minutesto do as it’s very easy. First off, head outside past the first checkpoint crystal, don’t worry about the big monsters floating by in the air, they can’t really do much to you and are just set dressing.
Head down onto the freeway overpassand follow the path as it twists back around and underneath you into the area below with all the rusted cars.Stop at the entrance to this area. There will be ahuge swarm of dog-sized Root Creaturesto deal with and you don’t want them biting at your backside for the next part, plus it’s easy to get overwhelmed by them.Dispatch the dogs and keep to the right.

Follow the wall around and you willsee a large tree branch that goes into the ground. You can run up this.Follow this path up and around, and continue on until the end of it. It’s not very long and doesn’t go far, so don’t worry about getting lost. At the end of this short bridge, turn to the right and look down.
Below you will be a truck that looks like it was body slammed into the ground.Drop down onto the top of the trailer, then drop down again into the small crater either off the side or using the cab as a step.Go underneath the truckand there on the floor will be the Hellfire Flamethrower.

Be aware that there’s agroup of Root monsters nearbythat usually tend to aggro and attack the second you pick up the weapon. You’re not safe in that crater, so get out fast and deal with them.

The Hellfire Flamethrowers Stats
The stats on the Hellfire Flamethrower are a little low without upgrades but thefire damage and its inbuilt Weapon Mod are pretty handy. Especially if you’re getting rushed by a big group of monsters asthis weapon inflicts STAGGER, so it’s useful for getting a bit of breathing room.
Its Weapon Mod, calledExplosive Shot, is also very helpful as it’sessentially a Grenade Launcher modethat deals up to 155 to 200 damage in anine-meter circle that can be aimed beforehand. Every time the Mod circle fills, you get an extra shot.

Its base stats may just be 13, but its high magazine capacity of 60 means you’re able to hold the trigger down and spew those burning flames for quite a good while. The fire also applies BURNING, deals 300 Fire Damage over 10 seconds, and if you spray the grounda small pool of fire hangs around for about five secondsor so which also inflicts BURNING on anything that steps on it. So it’s great for basting tight corridors and chokepoints in flames.
It’s honestly a pretty solid, lightweight crowd-control weapon that you can buff quite a bit withrings or amulets that focus on Mod Generation or Elemental Damage. For example, if you have theFire Stone Ring your fire damage increases by 10 percent and your fire resistance by 15, so less accidental burning damage for you, and more pain for the monsters. Combine this with theTimekeepers Jewel Ring which increases Status Effect durationand your targets can burn for much longer as well.

Finally, if you really want to pour on the pain. It’s recommended that youhave a secondary weapon with the Soulbinder Weapon Modwhich spreads 60 percent of the damage dealt to a target to every enemy within seven meters.Use that to link them to their friends, then set them on fire and you’ve got a big barbecue going as theBURNING debuff hits everyone on the screen.
You can get the Soulbinder Weapon Mod bygiving the Heart Seed to McCabe. The seed is rewarded for completingThe Chimney challenge room in Yaesha.
