There’s a lot to do inStarfield. It’d be weird if there weren’t - this is Bethesda Game Studios, after all. But we’re impressed by the massive tonal shifts between Starfield’s quests, an ever-present sign in Bethesda RPGs that the writers understand the need to shake things up between all the character-saving, world-shaking, storylines.
‘Tourists Go Home’ is one of the brightest examples. Not only is the process of scaring away some bothersome tourists funny in its own right, but you totally get to keep the tardigrade costume afterward, and there’s nothing funnier than that.

How To Start ‘Tourists Go Home’
Steer your trusty starship toNew Homestead, located onTitan, a Saturn moon, in the Sol System. While you’re here, be sure tocheck out other quests; we recommend taking the tour at minimum, because it’s just as precious as ‘Tourists Go Home’. We know you’re not reading this for our opinions, but seriously, New Homestead’s a memorable settlement all-around.
Once you’re inside, make your way to the clinic, where you’ll meetDoctor Lakota. She’s got a big problem: some tourists just suck, and there’s a small pack of them at present. It seems Doctor Lakota’s been taking matters into her own hands by getting it around that hostile creatures roam Titan - which isn’t true, so it’s your part to sell the gig.

Doctor Lakota hands you theMonster Costume, which is very clearly in the shape of a human-sized tardigrade. Good stuff. If you want to be real rude, and you don’t mind having an incomplete quest in your log,you may actually leave with the Monster Costume now without completing the quest. We don’t recommend doing so, but you do you!
Putting The Fear In Them
Let’s do this thing.Exit New Homestead, returning to Titan’s allegedly monster-filled surface. You will need to be wearing the Monster Costumebefore you head outdoors, or else the tourists won’t spawn.Follow your quest objective markerover to their location, which isn’t far away at all.Simply approach themto trigger their appropriate reaction, thenreturn to Doctor Lakota.
Your reward is 1800 credits - but you’re not finished yet. So long as you’ve done ‘Tourists Go Home’, Lakota takes back the Monster Costume, butshe’lllend the costume to you again after about a day or two passes. She’ll then be dealing with a second group of tourists; simply repeat the process. There’s a third and final instance of thisonce a couple of days further have transpired, after which you’re permitted to keep the costume permanently.
Now, head on out to the wide world. Sometimes, NPCs will comment on your garb, should you re-equip it - and more often than not, it’s to express the same fear you just put in the three batches of bothersome off-worlders back at New Homestead.
