Between the shapeshifting killer clowns and a necromantic ringmaster, it’s easy to overlook the minor issue of a rigged spin-the-wheel. However, don’t bypass Akabi’s game. Getting the jackpot is much easier than you might think, and the reward—a legendary weapon—is well worth the effort. All that stands in your way is, after all, an angry djinni and a pack of hungry dinosaurs.
Where Is Akabi?
Akabi the djinni can be found tending to hisspin-the-wheel gamein the south part of theCircus of The Last Days (X:-69, Y:-73), just northwest of the Rivington waypoint.
Sinceyou’ll get theRivington waypoint automaticallyupon starting Act 3, it’s impossible to miss!
TheCircus of The Last Daysis also where you’ll get theFind Dribbles the Clownquest, a long questline tied with several other major quests in Baldur’s Gate. Be sure topay the clown show a visit!
How To Win Akabi’s Jackpot
Akabi has rigged his spin-the-wheel game, making the500gp entrya certain loss. The key to winning, however, lies in his pocket.
Sneak andpickpocket the Djinni Ringfrom his pocket with aDC 15 Sleight of Hand check.
Spin the wheel after this,secure the jackpot, and brace yourself—Akabi will become enraged andteleport your characterinto a dinosaur-infested jungle.
Onlythe character who talks to Akabiwill be teleported. We recommend using someone with access toinvisibilityandteleportation.
Navigating The Chultan Jungle
The dinosaurs in this jungle can be really tough to fight, as they becomeresistant to all damageandhit extra hardwhen they have theirMating Frenzyboost.
Since theydrop no loot when killed,it’s recommended that you use a character withinvisibilityorhigh stealthto bypass them entirely.
