Of the weapons available to you inBlasphemous 2, Ruego Al Alba is the most balanced one of the three. It’s the middle point between the two extremes - not as hard-hitting as Veredicto, but far quicker, and yet still not as speedy as Sarmiento & Centella.

This suite of features makes Ruego Al Alba a great choice for your starting weapon, but if you decide against it, don’t worry - you can still get the sword. In fact, it’s required - as with the other weapons, the sword enables a particular skill that allows you to access more areas and progress in the game.
Where To Find The Sword
The first step to acquiring Ruego Al Alba is to acquire theability to cling to walls. You’ll obtain this by completing theshort dungeon underneath the City of the Blessed Name, Profundo Lamento. After making your way to the bottom of this dungeon, you’ll get theIvy of Ascension, granting you the ability to climb particular walls and access new areas.
With the Ivy of Ascension,climb up the chasm in the middle of the city and then head to the right. You’ll eventually reachGrilles and Ruin, a new area that looks like a ruined street.
Head two screens to the right until you reach atall screen with a statuethat activates a platform. Ride this platform up andignore the exit to the right. Instead, keep climbing up the screen until you’re able to take an exit to the left.
If you instead take the exit to the right, you will be on your way to thePalace of the Embroideries. This is where you’ll findSarmiento & Centella, the rapiers, if you didn’t pick them as your starting weapon.
Consider taking aquick detour to grab that weaponif you started with Veredicto.
This route through Grilles and Ruin will eventually lead you to a new area, theforested Choir of Thorns. This is a difficult area to deal with on your first run, thanks to unpredictable enemy attack patterns, annoying crows, and tricky platforming to contend with.
From the first Prie Dieusin the area, take the following steps to reach the next area and the one in which you’ll find the sword:
After completing the statue challenge, keep taking theright exitsuntil you reach theCrown of Towersarea. This is where you’ll find the sword.
