Besides being a way to earn gold, several characters request various creatures caught with Bug Catching as part of quests, one of their weekly wants, or as a preferred gift, but some of those they want can be difficult to find. In this guide, we’ll show you where to find the rare Vampire Crab, so you can sell it, gift it, or search for a star-quality one for your home.
What Are Vampire Crabs?
The Vampire Crab is a small, rare crustacean with a deep red color, a black shell, and yellow markings on its back. They sell for 145 Gold normally, with star-quality ones being worth 217 Gold. They alsodrop between zero and seven Silk Threadafter being caught.
Some characters,such as Einar, request oneas a weekly gift, and is also apreferred gift for Delaila, allowing you to gain relationship points faster with her.
Vampire Crabs are alsorequired in the quest Vault of the Waves: Spooky Bundleand count for several accomplishments, such as My First Rare Bug.
Where To Find Vampire Crabs
Vampire Crabs canonly be found in the Flooded Fortress in Bahari Bay at night between the in-game hours of 6 pm and 3 am.
They can be foundwalking on both the grassy shores and in the shallow waterin the area, but are more common in the grass. Due to their quick speed,you’ll want to use Sticky Smoke Bombsto slow them down and give you a better chance at catching them before they run away.
