There are plenty of interesting to grow on the Homestead inFae Farm, and flowers will play a critical part of your game if you’re looking to customize the colors of your outfits or furniture. With the majority of the color locked behind breeding hybrid flowers in Fae Farm, you’ve got your work cut out for you.

Although you only have one color of each flower by default, there are a dozen color variants for each flower, the majority of which can only be obtained by growing hybrid flowers. Our guide’s got what you need to grow the whole rainbow!

How To Grow Flowers In Fae Farm

You’re first introduced to growing flowers in Fae Farm when you stop totalk toRosalindat her flower shop inEast Town, just across from Vera’s potion shop.

She’ll ask you tohelp her breed a unique hybrid flowerthat only grows in Azoria. When she explains, she tells you thatleaving a space between two watered flowers may result in a hybrid flower growing between them.

She asks you toplant a red rose, leave space, and plant a white zinniain order to help her create apink flowerbetween the two.

To do this, you’ll need a fewFlower Soil Beds. For each of these, you’ll need:

Place the Flower Soil Beds together to encourage new flower growth, and be sure to leave an empty space between the two flowers to give them room to do so.

Hybrid flowers cannot grow between two parent flowers if there’s not a vacant space.

Finish The Floating Ruins To Unlock The Remaining Flower Colors And Types

When you first arrive in Azoria,Rosalind will sell three flowers in different three colors. She hasred roses, white lilies, and yellow tulip seedsfor sale at her stall.

However, you’ll notice that your Almanac lists several other colors of flowers that you can’t make with these base colors. That’s because you’ll need tofinish theFloating Ruinsto unlock new flowers.

Once you’ve finished the game’s second dungeon and fully restored order to theFae Realm, head to themarketplaceover there and speak withAsphodel, whose stall is right by the bridge to the Fae Realm Farm.

Not only does Asphodel sell all the base crop seeds you’ll need for regular farming, as well as the three types of fertilizer, but they also sellblue hyacinth, green zinnia, and magenta trilliumseeds.

These are entirely new flowers that can be taken to any of your farms andplanted with the Azorian flowers to finish the spectrum of base colors.

Once you’ve got access to these flowers, you can begin creating your second wave of hybrids bymixing your new colors.

Buy Each Flower In One Color, And Breed The Other 11 Colors

As you may have noticed above, each of the two vendorsselling seedsin Fae Farm hasone color for each flower on saleat their shops.

The trouble is, the Almanac lists thatevery one of the six flowers comes in every one of the 12 colorspossible in Fae Farm. This means thatyou need to grow hybrids for the other 11 colors for each flowerto finish that page in your Almanac.

To do this, you’ll need to rely onspecific combinations of genesto produce a new flower. When hybridizing flowers, thenew flower will take on the typeand/orcolor of either parent flower.

When you planttwo different types of flowers in two different colorswith a space between them, not only can the base colors combine to make a new color for one of the flowers, but you may also receive adifferent color for one of the base flowers, too.

Hybrid Flowers Unlock New Dyes And Wing Colors

While you’ll definitely have options for decorating your farm using the flower beds you’re growing, you can alsoharvest flowersas they grow and use certain types in certain colors toproduce new dyes.

By visiting several ofthe vendors in Azoria andthe Fae Realm, you’ll be able tobuy new colors for furniture and clothing.
