InLies Of P,the game’s world is inhabited by puppets driven to violence during an event known as the Puppet Frenzy. During this chaotic time, every puppet in Krat becomes hostile and tries to eliminate anything living, including your character, P. However, there’s a unique puppet you’ll encounter who behaves quite differently.

In the Barren Swamp, near the Stargazer, you’ll meet an unusual puppet known as the Broken Puppet. Unlike most puppets, the Broken Puppet isn’t bound by the Grand Covenant, similar to P. What sets this puppet apart is their desire to learn how to feel.
How To Complete The Broken Puppet Quest
In order to help the Broken Puppet on their quest to understand emotions, P must acquirespecific Gestures and perform them in front of the Broken Puppet.
There arefour of these Gesturesthat you’ll need to find throughout the game before you can interact again with the Broken Puppet.
Clap Gesture
The first one you’ll probably come across is theClap Gesture.
Afterdefeating the Eldest of the Black Rabbit BrotherhoodatMalum District Town Hall, you gain access to their hideout.
Inside the building,go to the room on the left, where you’ll find thePortrait of a Boy.Bring this portrait back to Geppetto at Hotel Krat, and he’ll express his gratitude.
Once the portrait is hung on the right wall, you’ll obtain theClap Gesture.
For this gesture, you need tofinishJulian the Gentleman’s questline, butthere’s a condition.
Once you discoverhis wife’s body at Rosa Isabelle, you’ll receive theWedding Ring. Return it to Julian, and he’ll be pleased with that.
After this, you’ll have a choice: to tell the truth or to lie.You must choose to lie and select the option"I saw the message she left, saying she loves you." This will allow you to obtain theSad Gesture.
Anger Gesture
This one is unmissable sinceit’s part of the main story.
After the attack on Hotel Krat, go upstairs toGeppetto’s Office. You’ll find all the members seeking shelter there.
Speak with Lady Antonia, and once you’re done with the conversation, you’ll receive theAnger Gesture.
Happy Gesture
The final gesture you require for the Broken Puppet is theHappy Gesture.
you may obtain it fromTest Subject 826towards the end of the gamewhen you head towards the Arche Abbey Outer Wall.
This will be your first interaction with him, and after you’re finished with it, you’ll receive theHappy Gesture.
What Are The Rewards For Completing The Broken Puppet Quest
Once you have collected all the Gestures mentioned above,return to the Barren Swamp and interact with the Broken Puppet.
You will notice thatyou have the option to perform all these Gestures, andfor each Gesture performed,you will receive a reward.
