How To Holster Your Weapon And Surrender
With both the keyboard and controller, you’ll be able to sheathe your weapons byholding down the “reload” button.
On thekeyboard, you’ll be able to do this byholding down the “R” button. On thecontroller, you’ll do this byholding down the “X” button.

To draw your weapon back out, you can justclick with either mouse buttonswhile on the PC, ortap the “X” buttonon your controller.
While you may want to stow your weapon away just to clean up the clutter on your screen (or to take a pretty picture), there are times when holstering your weapon is thebest course of actionfor progressing in the game.

When To Holster Your Weapon
It can be easy to misclick, and if youaccidentally commit a minor crime, orhit a civilian or guard, you might find yourself being hunted down by officers of the law.
Be warned,surrendering and talking it out will only workif you committed aminor crime. Doing something such as murdering a civilian or guard willget a bounty put on your head. When your bounty gets sufficiently high, you’ll beattacked on sight—in civilized cities or in space.
If you’re not looking to become a wanted criminal across the worlds, you’ll want toput away your weapon to surrender.After you do so, the officers will attempt to approach you andstart up the arrest dialoguewith you.
