Mixology is a skill inThe Sims 4that gives your Sims the ability to create impressive drinks, ranging from a simple Juice on the Rocks to the rare Snaggle Fluster. With expansions such as the Vampire game pack, you can even make unique drinks such as the Ultimate Vampire Cure.
Your Sim will start with no Mixology skills, but thankfully, this skill can be easy to level up. In this guide, we are going to take a look at how you’re able to level up the Mixology skill, as well as any rewards and benefits that you can receive for doing so.
How To Learn The Mixology Skill
As with most skills, you will learn the Mixology skill by eitherdirectly making drinks or by reading a Mixology skill book.
Bars can be a bit expensive, especially if your Sim does not have enough money. Thankfully, there are no restrictions to where you can practice and increase your Mixology. This means that you canhead to any bar in town and practice there.Shortly after practicing for the first time, you will reach Mixology level one.
Skill books can bepurchased from the bookshelf.There are three volumes of Mixology skill books, as well as a fourth book called The Mixologist’s Bible.
How To Level Up The Mixology Skill
The best way to level up the Mixology skill is tosimply practice making drinks at the bar.This does not create any drinks, so you won’t have to come and clean up any potential messes. If you do want to make a specific drink, your Sim will still gain a bit of experience.
Making just one drink is a fairly short process, soit’s best to just practice making drinks.
Every Level Of The Mixology Skill & What It Unlocks
As you level up the Mixology skill, you willgain access to new drinks.Some drinks are dependent on your job though; for example, Alien Juice is a level one drink that only unlocks if you are level eight in the Smuggler branch of the Astronaut Career.

Making each drink will cost a bit of money, but they cansell for more than the price it costs to make.To sell, simply drag it to theselling area of a Sim’s inventory.

How To Make Potions
Once you reach level ten of the Mixology skill and complete the Master Mixologist aspiration, you will be able tomake potions.These are essentiallydrinkable moodlets that provide the effect mentioned in the name.Below, you may check out all potions, with each onecosting 1,000 Simoleons to make.
Overall, the best drinks to make are the ones that provide an effect. These include the drinks like theSnaggle Fluster and Love Potion #4.
What Is The Master Mixologist Aspiration?
There is one aspiration tied to the Mixology Skill. As a reward for comparing this aspiration,you will be able to make the potions mentioned above.There are four milestones included in the Master Mixologist aspiration, which you can see below.
