EA Sports FC 24is packed with returning features and mechanics, many of which have been significantly tweaked sinceFIFA 23. The Jockey mechanic is one such example that received some additional layers of nuance that make it far harder to execute than in previous years.
Previous iterations relied on automatic tackling and a seemingly magnetic connection that orbited you around your targeted opponent, but this year is different. Instead, EASFC 24’s Jockeying system is much more delicate, requiring careful precision to track down and dispossess the opposition.
What Is Jockeying?
Jockeying is the act of jostling your opponentand closely defending them with the purpose of stopping them and dispossessing the ball.
In orderto activate Jockey, you need only tohold LT or L2on a standard Xbox or PlayStation controller.

By activating Jockey, your controlledplayer will slow downand move in a more restricted manner.
You must be close to your opponentin order to trigger the animation where you follow and jostle/jockey the attacker.
If you want to jockey someone who is further away from you, you’re able to activatea second form of Jockeying called Sprint Jockey.
to Sprint Jockey, you need only tohold your sprint button in addition to the Jockey button.
