Light sources need a couple special materials though: either Glass Panes or Lightbulbs.

How To Make Glass Panes
To make Glass Planes, you’ll need afairly large amount of Stone.
Interact with the Glass Furnace, and you’ll enter into a menu similar to the sawmill menu.Add in all the Stoneyou want, and the Glass Panes will begin crafting.
One Glass Paneis made fromten pieces of Stoneevery eight minutes, which means a full stack of 100 Stone will make you ten Glass Panes.

How To Make Lightbulbs
Crafting Lightbulbs requirestwo materials, and two steps. First, you’ll need to get Stone for Glass Panes, and then you’ll turn the Glass Panes into Lightbulbs.
One Lightbulbis crafted in the Glass Furnace fromtwo Glass Panes,and each one takes twenty minutes to smelt.
