Once you pull a character inHonkai: Star Rail, the first order of business is to adorn them with the best Light Cones, Relics, and Team Members you can find. However, that’s not nearly enough to win all the combat scenarios since the game contains quite a lot of variables.

This is especially true for a five-star Destruction character like Jingliu since she has a bunch of intricacies in her kit. However, once you get the hang of her play style and keep a few things in mind while playing her, you’ll be able to beat every endgame content.

Use Your Ultimate Wisely

One of the most important things that you have to learn about Jingliu is the usage of her Ultimate.Whenever this ability is used, you gain one stack of Syzygy. Just by hearing this, it feels like you’d want to use your Ultimate to get into the Spectral Transmigration state, but that’d be wrong. There are a couple of reasons for this:

Ideally, you’d want touse her Ultimate as soon as you enter the state(before your first turn) so that you may start building up the Energy again. However, there can be scenarios where you have to use it to get into the state as well. For example, if an enemy is locked onto your squishy ally and is close to Weakness Break, it’s better to use your Ultimate to trigger the Break.

You’ll lose 20 percent DMG and potentially have avery short duration on the buffed stateif you do this.

Jingliu Isn’t Skill Point Hungry

Skill Points are one of the hardest resources to manage in the combat system of Honkai: Star Rail. Yougain a Skill Point when you use your Basic Attack and lose one (or more) when you use your Skill. However, Jingliu is an exception to this since her Skill in the buffed state doesn’t consume any Skill Points.

You alsodon’t want to ever use her Basic Attackso she doesn’t generate Skill Points either. Overall, Jingliu has a neutral Skill Points usage apart from the time when she has to use her normal Skill. This allows you to use other Skill Point hungry characters with her.

Honkai Star Rail Jingliu Crit Ratio

You Don’t Need Much Crit Rate On Jingliu

When it comes to a main DPS in Honkai: Star Rail, getting a good Crit Ratio on them can be one of the most troublesome things. This isbecause most of your Crit Ratio comes from Relics or Planar Ornaments, and these two are based on complete RNG. Thankfully, Jingliu has a part of her Talent that helps with this.

When in the Spectral Transmigration state (which should be 80 percent of the time she’s on the field),you gain a 50 percent Crit Rate boost when this ability is at level ten. Ideally, you’d want to have a maximum of 50 percent Crit Rate on Jingliu, while 30 or 40 percent is also okay.

Honkai Star Rail Lynx Ultimate Animation-1

Since you don’t need as much Crit Rate, you caneasily have over 200 percent Crit DMG on her.

This high Crit DMG can be further buffed by support characters like Bronya or Yukong, making her truly unstoppable.

Healers Are Required

Healers are an integral part of Honkai: Star Rail due to itsturn-based combat, butthey become even more important when it comes to Jingliu. As mentioned above, you don’t consume any Skill Points while using her buffed Skill, but what you do consume is four percent of the Max HP from each ally on the field.

This HP consumption is converted into the damage from her Skill, but it’s capped at a certain percentage of her ATK. Since she reduces the HP of her own allies, it’s important to have a healer to mitigate this damage. This makes Preservation characters a little less viable with Jingliu.

Lynx is one of the best healers for Jingliu sinceher Skill can also increase Jingliu’s aggro.

This will help her take the damage away from her allies andregenerate her Ultimate faster.

Her Technique Is Vital

When you press Jingliu’s technique button in the open world, she does a cool animation whereshe removes her blindfold and creates a cryo field around her. Enemies in this field are Frozen, and they have a chance to retain this Frozen state when the battle starts. However, that’s not the most important part of her technique.

Apart from the crowd-control,Jingliu also gains one stack of Syzygy when the battle startswith her Technique on. This is far more effective than it looks on paper since it allows her to enter the Spectral Transmigration state with just one use of the normal Skill.

Not only does this increase your damage, but italso reduces your Skill Point consumptionfurther.

Unfortunately, getting Technique points isn’t as easy in the game, especially if you’re playing the Simulated Universe or Swarm Disaster. In these cases, it’s recommended to use her Technique every time you start an Elite or Boss battle at the very least.
