Most farming games fall short by not adding multiplayer. Farming with friends is one of the best cozy gaming pastimes. Luckily,Fae Farmlaunched a full release with active multiplayer mode. Multiplayer is probably one of the reasons you were intrigued by Fae Farm.

Promotion images show groups of friends wielding staves and running through the forest with bravery. But how do you actually invite people to your cozy town? Here is everything you need to know about multiplayer mode in Fae Farm.
Do You Have To Make A New Character To Play Multiplayer?
Yes. You have to make a new character whenever you join someone else’s world. This new character can then not be accessed unless you are on that person’s server. You cannot bring your original, higher-level character into someone else’s town.
Each time you join back to that same world using your same account, you will return as that new character created. That character is for that host’s server.
How To Play Multiplayer
Creating An Account
To play multiplayer in Fae Farm, you must create a Phoenix Labs account. It is actually quite simple to do so. When you select Multiplayer, and it prompts you to make an account, it will open a browser window to begin creating an account.
All this window will do is confirm your username. You do not have to create a password or enter an email, the account is just created for you becauseit is connected to your Steam, Epic Games, or Nintendo Switch account. Once you have an account prepared, you will need to friend request the other person’s Phoenix Labs account.
Adding Friends
There are multiple ways to get to the multiplayer menus in Fae Farm. You can access your Phoenix Labs friends list from the main menu. Here you can manage your friends,open Steam friends, or add Phoenix Labs friends.
At the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, it will give you a prompt tosearch for a Phoenix Labs friend and send them a friend request.This is X on both PC and controller.
A Phoenix Labs user ID is similar to the old Discord usernames, where there will be a username, the pound symbol, and then a set of numbers. You will need all that information to add someone.Type your friend’s username and ID number into the search barand request them as a friend.
Sending a friend request is optional because if you are playing on a platform such as Steam, you can skip the Phoenix Labs linking andjust invite someone from your Steam friend list.
Inviting Friends And Joining A Game
To invite people into your world, you mustenter your game, select Multiplayer, and select Host Online Server. Here you can invite people from your Phoenix Labs friends list or by opening Steam.
If you are trying to join someone else’s world, you will either get a Steam chat pop-up or you canselect Join Worldin the main menu or World Invites while in-game to see any active invites.

How To Play Locally
Fae Farm supports local games. Local games mean the connection is not made online but rather by finding the nearest player to you physically. This way, you may both play on the couch together, side by side.
All you must do is select Multiplayer in the settings while in-game, then select Host Local.Local play is mostly made for Nintendo Switch users.
How Does Multiplayer Work?
You can play with up to three other peopleon a server in Fae Farm. Wherever the host is in the story is wherever you will be.You can do quests on your own, as when you complete or start them, it will not complete or start them for other players.
Added players will spawn in front of the host’s house. There will be no bed sharing or new houses to create. Only the host’s house will be available.Other players can access the host’s storage, tend to their garden, and take care of the livestock.
Since you can do quests alone and perform tasks by yourself, you may also romance your own NPC. People cannot share a romance, so much like other games of the same genre, youmust determine between each other who is going to pick which romance option.
All players use the host’s money.
Any money the host worked hard to earn, other invited players can use. Other players cannot make their own separate money, so everyone must share. Players can add items to the marketplace tables and earn money for the group.
If the host has purchased the Premium addition or any DLC for the game,all goodies will be shared among the invited guests. These items will be found in the host’s or rather the communal mailbox by the house. You cannot take these items into your world, they are for the host’s server only.
As an invited guest on someone’s server, always,always check the mailbox. The mailbox will harbor any rewards or items meant to be shared and is alsowhere you will find your magical staff.
