Thankfully, Mario comes in and helps Toadofsky with his composition. The problem is that not every melody works for him; he needs something special, and you, controlling Mario, must find those unique melodies.
How Does Melody Bay’s Tadpole Chart Work?
Before hunting for the melodies that will help Toadofsky create a musical piece, you mustlearn to use the musical Tadpoles properly.Toadofsky gives you a complicated tutorial on how to use it, but there’s a more straightforward way to understand it.
If you step on the rock at the start of the musical pond, you’ll seea Tadpole emerging from the pondandswimming to the right.The Tadpolewill move six timeswhen it emerges from the water until it touches the wall to the right. With that in mind,you’re able to put numbers on each Tadpole step.
When a Tadpole touches the wall to the right, it’ll start swimming to the left.
The first moment when the Tadpole you are about to step on emerges from the waterwill be step one.Then, you muststart counting whenever the Tadpole moves.The last step will bestep seven.
Then, when the Tadpole you are about to step onmoves back to the left,you muststart counting from seven to one.This is if you didn’t jump the first time, so you don’t need to restart the puzzle. The final result is that stepstwo, four, and sixwill be on the chart’s lines, and stepsone, three, five, and sevenwill be between the lines.
How To Play The First Toadofsky Melody
The hint for this first melody lies next to Toadofsky’s location. Returning to the Tadpole Pond from Melody Bay,you’ll briefly see a Tadpole in the north reaching the surface.If you talk with it, it’ll tell you its favorite song.
After that, you mustreturn to Melody Bay and step on the rock in front of the pond.This will make the first Tadpole emerge. Now, you mustenter the following sequenceon the Tadpoles:

The Frogleg Cola costs 24 coins andrecovers 80 HP to all members of the party.
How To Play The Second Toadofsky Melody
Toadofsky will appear again at Melody Bayafter getting the Star Piece at Moleville.As you do this,return to Melody Bay and play the following melody for Toadofsky:

After playing this melody, Toadofsky will give you the Tenor Card, which lets youbuy Tinless Cola at The Juice Bar.
The Finless Cola costs 60 coins andrecovers 150 HP to all members of the party.
How to Play The Third Toadofsky Melody
This is the last time Toadofsky will move from Melody Bay. He’ll appear there after reachingMonstro Townandvisiting the very first house you’ll find in the zone.Here, go to thesecond floor and interact with the singing star, who will play the same melody you must play for Toadofsky.
After doing that, return to Melody Bay andplay this melody for Toadofsky:
