Enemies are just as smart as you, and it’s important to know how to handle tricks like going invisible. It’s impossible to finish a fight if the boss keeps drinking an invisibility potion, and you have no means to reveal him. This article will list every way you’re able to reveal an invisible enemy in Baldur’s Gate 3.
See Invisibility
You can acquire a spell calledSee Invisibility, which is a Level Two Divination spell. It allows you to see invisible enemies and has a chance to reveal said enemies to your allies. This spell willlast until your next Long Restand has a Dexterity save.
Bards, sorcerers, andwizards can acquire this spellnaturally by leveling up. Alternatively, you mayfind aScroll of See Invisibilityaround the world or for sale at a local trader. Make sure to keep an eye out for the scroll, if you do not have a magic user with you.

Faerie Fire
Faerie Fire isa bard, druid, or drow spellthat will illuminate any invisible creature nearby. The spell willcast a light, and allinvisible things inside the light will be revealed. On top of being revealed, anyAttack Rolls against the revealed creature will have an Advantage.
This spell uses Concentration and has a Dexterity save.

Another way to be able to use this spell, other than changing classes, is to acquire theXyanydeweapon. The Xyanyde is a melee weapon that can be dropped from Minthara. Upon missing an attack toward someone while you are wielding this weapon, the enemy will be encased with the light ofFaerie Fire.
Volo’s Ersatz Eye
Near the end of Act 1, if you successfully save Volo from the goblins, he can try to remove the parasite for you. After all his good research, he offers to take a look at the worm behind your eye. You can say yes and then change your mind to no fault.
If you say yes and continue to let Volo dig around, you will lose an eye.

The best part about Volo taking your eye is that he gives you a new one. A better one. If you let Volo attempt to remove your Illithid parasite, he will destroy your eye and give you a replacement eyeball thatallows you to permanently see invisible creatures.

Area Of Effect Damage
Area of effect (AOE) damage such asAlchemist’s Fire or a bomb can reveal invisible enemies to you.The tough part is actually knowing where to aim. If you have a really good idea as to where the invisible enemy went, throw somethingthat doesdamage. Actuallyhitting the enemy will reveal them to you.
This is a temporary solution as opposed to using Faerie Fire or See Invisibility because the enemy can just go invisible again after the round is over. If you do not have the spells you need or if you have run out of spell slots, throwing something that hasAOE damage may win you the fight if you aim at the right spot.

How To Reveal Shadow Land Enemies
If you are looking for a way to reveal the enemies in Act 3, Shadow-Cursed Lands, then you need to take a different approach. The enemies in the Shadow-Cursed Lands are not like enemies that use invisibility. They are shadows that can only be revealed through light.
You do not need a Moon Lantern to reveal them. Any light source will do. This can be from the Light spell, Daylight spell, or just by holding a torch. We have a guide detailing all about surviving the darkness in Act 3.
