Lords Of The Fallenis full of hidden tasks and NPC quests you must complete, but they often don’t provide much guidance. For instance, you might meet an NPC in one place, but later on, they disappear, or you’ll encounter a locked door that needs a specific key, and you’re left in the dark about where to find it. This is typical for these types of games.
One of the puzzles in this game involves a well that simply says, Seek scourings. Your first thought might be that it has something to do with Umbral Scourings, which is a good starting point. However, to progress, you’ll need to find a particular item.
How To Seek Scourings
The Seek Scourings puzzle can be found in the Revelation Depths. To reach this place, you first need to go through theSunless Skeinand make your way deep into the mines.
As you progress, you’ll have toface a boss named Harrower Dervla, the Pledged Knight, and defeating her is no walk in the park. But once you’ve managed to beat her, you’ll seea set of stairs in front of you leading to a well.
Interact with the well, and you’ll get a message that says “Seek scourings.”
To move forward,head back to Skyrest,enter Umbral realm, and interact withMolhu. If you check out his wares by clicking “Purchase,” you’ll find a new item for sale calledUmbral Scouring Clump, which costs50 Umbral Scourings.
You can obtain Umbral Scourings bydefeating certain mini-bossesor bySoulflaying the Stigmasas you explore the world.
Once you’ve bought the Umbral Scouring Clump,return to the well and interact with it. You’ll now have the option to use this item for access.
After a brief cutscene, you’ll find yourself in a new place known asMother’s Lull.
This area holds significance if you’re aiming toachieve the Umbral Endingin Lords of the Fallen.
