Since its release,Disney Lorcanahas been a fan-favorite of both those who love the immersive trading card world, and those who are beginners. If you are relatively new, or are just ripping open booster packs for the first time, you may want to cover all of the rarities of the cards first.
There are a total of seven rarity levels, and they are easily identifiable if you know where to look. Here is a guide to show you where to find the rarities and what each one means. While all cards have value, some are worth more than others.

The Rarity Levels Explained
Disney Lorcana offerssix rarity levelsand they are set up depending onhow difficult it is to get the cards.These rarities are identified by the symbol found in thebottom center of the card.
The card also comes infoil and non-foil treatments. Foil cards have a metallic glossy effect on them, and all cards apart from Enchanted cards come in both formats. Enchanted cards arealways foil and have unique artthat differs from the standard image.

The value of Enchanted rare cards lies in their unique and often impressive artwork.

The rarities tend todetermine which cards are technically stronger, though common and uncommon cards can be incredibly useful as well. A surface level, the rarities determine how likely you are to find a card overall.
What Comes In A Pack
Each boosterpack comes with 12 cards, which are randomized. The contents are as follows:
Each pack comes with a foil card, which can be of any rarity.
While the cards come in different rarities, often related to how strong they are in play, you canmake capable decks with cards of any rarity. For example, anAmber/Sapphire Princess deckcan be made from all types of cards.
At the very least, many common cardscan be used as ink, but they can also be used toshift stronger cards and support them. Every Disney Lorcana card rarity has a purpose, so don’t feel discouraged if you don’t get what you want right away.
Enchanted Rares
The extremely rare Enchanted cards aredecorated with feature alternative artwork and ink wash foil treatment.
Only certain cards in a set will receive the Enchanted treatment, and the value of each card increases accordingly.
They are among the rarest and most valuable cards in the game, withno guarantee that you’d even pull one in an entire booster box, let alone a single pack.
Despite featuring a similar frame and alternate art, the Disney100 Edition Lorcana cards are not considered Enchanted rarity.
These extra special cards are numbered above 204 and are highly sought after. Despite the decorative art, there are no additional effects in-game when using an Enchanted rare card.
Promo Cards
There are special cards you may find called promo cards, whichcannot be purchasedor found in booster packs. Instead, these have special conditions, like being won in a tournament or being distributed as a prize for participating in local events.
Promo cards are often limited in availability, so take the chance to grab one when you’re able to!
Promo cardscan sometimes have alternative art, though they are generally justalternate treatments of existing Lorcana cards. They won’t function any differently than the originals.
They’re afun addition to your collectionand make for agreat conversation piece. Keep tabs onlocal game shops and eventsin your area to learn when you can obtain one of these limited cards!
Illumineer’s Quest Cards
With Ursula’s Return,new cards were introduced for the Sea Witchto play against Illumineers. These are cards thatcannot be put into your own deck, and they areonly used in the Illumineer’s Quest – Deep Troubleto defeat Ursula from taking over Lorcana.
The Ursula Scenario Deck has aunique card backto differentiate it from standard cards.
While this rarity has no official name yet, youwon’t find these cards in traditional packsor at events. They specificallymake up Ursula’s hand, and she will use them tothwart you and your fellow Illumineersat every turn.
