The world ofRemnant 2is randomly generated, meaning that everyone will have a different experience in the game based on randomly generated factors. This implies that you may not encounter every side path or even main bosses when playing the campaign mode.

Since every boss and side area in the game provides specific items, it can be frustrating to miss out on something you wanted due to procedural generation. To address this, the game introduces Adventure Mode, closely connected with the Campaign Mode, allowing you to obtain the items you desire.

Updated on June 19, 2025, by Mohamed El Ouardighi: Adventure mode is a great way to experience the content of Remnant 2, as diving into the campaign mode alone is not enough to fully explore everything the game has to offer. That’s why we’ve updated this guide to explain how to unlock it and how it works.

How To Unlock Adventure Mode

When you first start a new save in Remnant 2, you won’t have the Adventure Mode unlocked just yet. After a short tutorial in Ward 13,you’re taken to a random world out of the following three: Yaesha, Losomn, and N’Erud.

These worlds contain a main path that leads you to the final boss and gets you a fragment.

Remnant 2 Campaign And Adventure Modes

You will unlock the Adventure Modewhen you defeat the final boss in the first world you get. Moreover, the Adventure Mode of other areas will unlock as you defeat their specific final bosses as well.

Once unlocked, this mode can be accessed by interacting withWorld Stone in Ward 13and clicking on World Settings at the bottom.

How Does Adventure Mode Work

Adventure Mode isentirely separatefrom your Campaign Mode, meaning the progress you make in the Campaign doesn’t carry over to Adventure Mode and vice versa.

Adventure Mode allows you toreplay specific worldsto experience different storylines, defeat alternate bosses, or acquire different loot.

Navigate to World Settings, where you will find Adventure Mode onthe right side.

Upon clicking, you’ll be presented with straightforward choices: pick any world you’ve conquered, then select your preferred difficulty.

After making these selections, you’ll start from the beginning of the chosen world. The starting areamight differfrom what you experienced in the Campaign Mode since every world, except the Root Earth, has two storylines that lead to entirely different final bosses.

If you didn’t get the desired storyline, you can always rerolling again until you get it.

Make sure you don’t click onReroll Campaignby mistake asthis will restart your entire Campaign all over again.

As your Adventure world begins, you’ll carrythe same gear as in Campaign mode. Furthermore, all the items acquired during these runs, including boss drops and Scrap, will bepreserved and ready for use in your Campaign Mode as well.
