Many of you will probably recognizeDonald Duck’sraspy yelling long before you see the iconic duck. He’s one of the manyDisney charactersavailable to make friends with inDisney Dreamlight Valley, and Donald brings his unique personality with him.

Donald Duck may be a hothead with a tendency to scream and shout, but beneath his occasionally abrasive exterior lies a heart of gold. He tries his best to care for the Valley, watch out for people’s missing socks, and even add some beauty to it. This guide will show you how to complete his friendship quest, The Dreamlight Fountain, and craft the furniture item by the same name.
How To Begin The Quest
To unlock The Dreamlight Fountain quest, Donald Duck needs to be atmaximum friendshipwith all his prior friendship quests completed, and you’ll need tohave both theSunlit Plateauand the Forgotten Lands unlocked.
Speak to Donald at thecampsite at Sunlit Plateau, and he’ll tell you he found something involving some plans for a big project for the Valley.Search the campsite, and you’ll find a glowing note on the ground next to it, thentalk to Donald again.
How To Find The Second Campsite
Show Donald the note, and he remembers that he wanted to build a Dreamlight Fountain in the Forgotten Lands to brighten the place up. To make the fountain, you’ll need to find Donald’s instructions, which means finding the second campsite.
The campsite is located inthe top left of the Forgotten Lands, near the ruins. Upon approaching, you’ll get a quest update and a glowing break in the ground will appear.Dig it up, and you’ll find the second note and another memory.
How To Craft The Dreamlight Fountain
Make sure you haveat least one free inventory slot, then speak to Donald again. He wants to finish the Dreamlight Fountain, and wants your help to gather the materials. He’ll hand you a set of Fountain Parts, and tell you that to craft it, you’ll need:
Location
8x Hardwood
Hardwood spawns beneath trees in theForest of Valor, the Glade of Trust, Sunlit Plateau, and rarely in theFrosted Heights, or as a potential drop fromdigging up tree stumps.
35x Stone
Stone can be mined fromany rock or destructible rock formation in the Valley.
5x Iron Ingots
Iron Orecan be mined from rocks in theGlade of Trust, the Forest of Valor, the Forgotten Lands, or theSunlit Plateau.
Five ore and one Coal make an Iron Bar at any crafting bench.
18x Soil
Soilcan bedug up from any areain the game except for Dazzling Beach, or produced occasionally when harvesting crops.
10x Clay
Clay can bedug up or found as a drop from mining destructible bonesin the Sunlit Plateau.
After you collect the materials, go to any crafting bench, and you can find itin the Furniture tab.
How To Set Up The Dreamlight Fountain
Meet up with Donald Duckin the Forgotten Landsand speak to him again. Hand over the Dreamlight Fountain to him, and he’ll tell you he has the perfect spot for it. He also wants to bring friends to celebrate, and it’s up to you to place the celebratory ribbon.
Donald willautomatically place the Dreamlight Fountain near where he’s standing at the Well, but once you finish speaking to him, you’re free to move the fountain to another spot. Go into Furniture mode and place the Celebration Bannerwithin a few tilesof the fountain.
How To Finish The Quest
If everything is in the correct spot, you’ll be able totake a commemorative photowith Donald,Scrooge,Mickey, andMerlin. Afterward, the banner disappears, and you cantalk to Donald. He’ll thank you for helping his plan come to fruition, and give you Donald’s Sailor Coat as a reward.
